“Very nice place for my elderly grandparents to stay!” Very nice place for my grandparents to spend a night. Beautiful, secluded, neat as a pin...would refer to others for sure! Also--very nice trails throughout the campground. Have ridden horse through as trails are nicely groomed.

“Quiet, relaxing and peaceful vacation with Great View and access to Lake” We rented this cabin on Bassett Lake for 4 days. It was a fun and enjoyable time. The cabin was roomy and the fishing was good. It was also quiet and peaceful. Thanks to Vern and Faith for being great hosts. Thank again!

“EXCELLENT Vacation Home! GREAT HOSPITALITY!!” My family and I stayed here over the Father's Day weekend and although we only stayed for 3 nights, we wished we would have booked for longer and plan to return next year!! Eric was extremely accommodating, the cabin was very clean, the space was perfect for a family of 10 people with sleeping accommodations up to 14 comfortably! We have little kids and it was safe and perfect for them. There was separate spaces for private time, open gathering areas, and lots of open grass area for yard games. The cabin is set up for you to just bring the food you plan to cook, and a bag of clothes & toiletries for your stay. They thought of EVERYTHING (soap, paper towels, bedding, games, reading material, dishes (only enough formal settings for 8 people), bar mixers, wii games, movies, music, towels, pack'n'play, cleaning supplies, washer & dryer, etc.) Anything that you could possibly need they provide it for you!! (I think the only thing I found missing was a hair dryer) With the cabin close to the city, the conveniences were priceless! We rented the pontoon during our stay and it was like new in excellent condition supplied with life jackets so we only had to bring them for the kids. We also brought two boats with us (a fishing boat and a wake boarding boat) and there was enough room to dock them both. My husband caught a 7lb 23" Bass off the end of the dock, he was a beauty!! We spent a lot of time on the lake which was easy to maneuver because there wasn't a lot of lake traffic and the sand bar "party beach" was an excellent way to cool off in the hot MN summer. The only concern I have for future guests is to make sure that you read the lake maps, it is a VERY shallow lake. most areas between 5 and 10 feet. I think the deepest we saw was 17'. There isn't a sandy area for the kids on shore, but it is shallow enough to walk out by the dock, but if you hop in the boat and head across the lake, it's shallow enough for our 3 year olds to play around in the water too. I would suggest bringing gas cans for your boats as there isn't a pumping station on the lake. The Hot tub was also a great addition, it is non chlorine so it was refreshing and great for those who have allergies. The Cabin has a air filter cleaning system and my mom who is allergic to most things had NO problems. I STRONGLY recommend this place to family's that are looking to get away to a nice retreat from city life and spend quality time with family and friends. Kid Friendly, Dog Friendly, Elderly friendly, VERY accommodating!! Eric and his family rent this year round and it would be great in any season! Thank you Stoney Brook!! We will be back to visit soon!!

“Highlight of the Vacation was RELAXING at Strawberry Lake Cabin” Everything about this cabin was perfect for our Anniversary retreat to MN. It was all the little details that made it so special. (the art, the cross stitch, the throw quilts, the books, etc) The yard is as beautifully landscaped as the pictures show. The view of the lake from the loft is amazing. We grilled each night and ate on the deck watching fishermen (and even a knee boarder). We spent lots of time after dark on the screened in porch listening to the night sounds (which included no disturbances from any neighbors). We found all flavors of hot tea to enjoy. There was charcoal for the grill. All the things we would have forgotten to buy were provided. We spent rainy days listening to CD's with the doors opened watching the rain. And comfy nights curled up watching movies. We travel to a different state each year on our anniversary to take in the natural beauty of the state and just relax with no disturbances. This cabin - with the perfect setting, perfect view, and the provisions that left us with no worries, made MN one of our highest ranking trips yet. We appreciate everything the owners have done and the caretaker sees to that make this a wonderful retreat!!! Next trip we will stay to fish or deer hunt :)
