“Kind owners, perfect stay” We were strongly delayed in arriving late in the evening, but the owners, Antonella and Pino were waiting for us patiently and helped us with heavy baggages. Welcome drinks were well prepared in the fridge. They also showed us the surroundings, walks and small markets on the map which did really help for the coming days. The maisonette-appartment is situated in a very tranquil place, it's very spacey, clean and well cared for. The view on the lake and mountains is stunning and there is a little private garden on the back. We passed very pleasant 5 days which was too short, we will definitively return. “When can we go back?” My family was fortunate enough to stay at Villa Poletti for 5 weeks. Karin and West were very responsive to all our questions and concerns. Upon arrival, Monika was very helpful and kind enough to provide us with lots of great "essentials". We brought our 1.5 yr old daughter and nanny with us. Our nanny loved having the upstairs apartment. Though the villa is beautiful, it was very child-friendly- mostly soft edges, fenced backyard, a door can seal-off the downstairs from the stairs, booster seat and crib were also provided. During our stay, we had various friends and family fly in to spend a few days with us at a time. EVERYONE raved at the view. The first morning of our stay, our 1 year old came downstairs, pointed at the view and said "Whoa!" Even after 5 weeks, we were still in awe of it. Please be aware, though, the road to Bellagio is very curvy and narrow plus Italians drive fast! Drinking can be a bit limited when considering the drive afterwards...but honestly very few restaurants beat the view from the villa, so buy bottles to drink while staring at the view. Also, many of our favorite dinners were cooked at home from fresh pasta and Italian grown produce. Some highlights: -if you can rent a boat for the stay, DO IT!, Monika may be able to get you boat mooring (nothing compares to have your own private boat to cruise to different villages and just relaxing on the water...also makes the drinking at dinner not as much of an issue) -in San Giovanni there is a great lake-to-table restaurant, Mella, and a new wine bar called Nene which just opened -there is a communal park in San Giovanni with bucket swings which our daughter loved going to every day -there is a beach within walking distance with a snack bar (lake beach is rocky, though) - my husband and I would do two different morning runs -first one takes you through Loppia then run through Melzi Gardens (entrance fee) directly into Bellagio; second one requires you to cross the street at the river, run past a old church, then go up an old cobblestone walk path to get great views of the lake, into an old town area then you can go to the milk society for fresh local cheese and milk. We already miss Villa Poletti and hope to go back again soon!

“a magic summer in Casa Mara” this house is something incredible! We spent a week there (august 2011). The owner is very helpful and his advices were very appreciated (we saw everything that was possible to see in Lombardy). We were in 5 people (my husband, my children and I) and we've been very happy for having chosen this accomodation. The house was very clean, no problem with anything. The kitchen has been useful, comfortable and full of comodities: oven, fridge, freezer, etc. The lakeview from the balcony was something incredible. And, the house is 2 or 3 foot far from the shore... we couldn't ask nothing better!

“Beautiful apartment in a Fantastic Location.” This very modern apartment is centrally located. We took the boat to Bellagio, Menaggio, and Como. We liked staying in Cernobbio for convenience...and will return! There are several great restaurants in the neighborhood. Our favorite was Il Giardino. Also enjoyed walks around the lake and in summertime the have free concerts many evenings on the water. We also went to Switzerland as the international train station is also nearby. Don't miss Foxtown for discount designer shopping. About 15 minutes from the apartment.

“We would go back tomorrow!!!” We really enjoyed our stay in Mary & Luca's place. The house is amazing, well furnished and decorated, a personal note...I've never sleep so well, I would've take the mattress home with me:) The location is great, in a very quite side of Bellagio but only 5 minutes walk to the center. Wonderfull vacation in a marvellous place...we plan to return in October for more relaxing and funny days.

“Peaceful, stunning view, and romantic stay” Located in Faggato Lario, we took the elevator down to a lovely walkway to our apartment. It felt like a secluded and private hideaway. Yet from the porch, sipping our prosecco, we gazed at the expansive views of Lake Como with the steep hills and beautiful light. The apartment was modern, yet warm decor, and very clean with the comforts of home for cooking, wifi and music. There is a great pool up the walkway. Wonderful restaurant, La Vapore, within walking distance and a fun cafe with a small beach area... Thank you Nick and Patricia, who was very helpful at the beginning of our stay. Marcie and Tom
