“Nice apartment!” Apartment was roomy and had all the features as advertised! We were met on arrival and everything was taken care of and explained! The internet can be painfully slow. We were there in October so the temperature was fine. You might be hot in summer? There is so street noise, but nothing earplugs wouldn't take care of! Bring cash or an aTM card with you to the Galapagos. Most businesses don't like credit cards!

“The most peaceful way to enjoy Santa Cruz.” We had a great time on Santa Cruz. Renting the house was one of the best decisions I made because it allowed us the freedom to see the island on our own schedule. Vacations should have an element of excitement but also be relaxing. Paul’s house was a wonderful retreat. We could walk to the Darwin Research Station and visit Lonesome George as well as swim from their beach. We visited the highlands and walked (crawled) through the lava tunnels and saw the tortoises in their native state. We were also able to make a day trip to Isabella to see the penguins. The house was perfect for our family of five allowing everyone a bit space to themselves. The roof top porch was perfect for a evening drink and we saw a perfect rainbow over the island from that vantage point one morning. It was perfect in every way I had no complains! If you are looking for a restful place to enjoy the Island of Santa Cruz this is the perfect choice.

“late booking, no problem” We had a great stay at Casita Muyuyo.Tatjana provided us with a range of payment options and lots of information about possible ways to spend our 2 full days on the galapogas. She organised a cab for us from the airport for a good price and Maria (cleaner) met us on arrival and departure to make sure everything went smoothly. The unit is about a 5 minute stroll to the town centre so was nice and quiet. It is on the road that leads onto the track to the best beach on Santa Cruz (about 25min walk) and had everything you needed for a relaxing stay. There are 2 x decent size bedrooms, and could sleep 4 comfortably. Would definately reccomend.

“Tricky start but great finish!” My husband, two boys (3 and 5) and my parents booked the bigger house (villa opuntia) but there was an oversight in the reservation and the house was double booked. We arrived late at night and a family already there, bummer. We contacted the owner and she was very apologetic and assured us that never happens! She went above and beyond to work with us and quickly accommodated us in villa Tortuga. Fits 4 instead of 6, but was very big as well. They gave us an extra mattress and we were very comfortable. The house is gorgeous. Nice kitchen with everything you could ask for to cook!, pots, plates, utensils, microwave, mugs, coffee maker, etc. the full kitchen worked out great as we decided to cook most of the time (buying fresh fish close by at the pier) saving us money. The bedrooms were a great size, good beds too. The house also has a nice tV area with movies which was great for the kids to keep them entertained. They would've been crazy in a small hotel room! The house also had a outdoor patio which was very nice. Furniture is great, solid wood and accent pieces, very cozy. Balconies were nice too. There was hot water for showers (friends that stayed in close by hotels said they only had hot water for 2 minutes!). I was not able to connect to internet but i didnt mind. Weather was cool in nov, so i never turned on the aC, only ceiling fans. Bonus, full washer and dryer which i did use! Lastly, Maria the housekeeper was a sweetie. Very respectful and educated, made our stay very pleasant. She cleans the houses twice a week i believe. I only stayed 4 nights so it was once for me. House is walking distance from the pier where you get boat tours, nice restaurants, etc. there were small stores close by for water, milk, food etc. it is also very close to Tortuga Bay, a must see beach in galapagos. Overall great experience, my kids loved the house as well. Would definitely recommend it, just make sure to confirm your stay/reservation prior to arrival! (Which i didnt do)
