“Another brilliant holiday at Two Bays” After a year's absence we cam back to Two Bays for a post Easter break. The main house has acquired a fabulous infinity plunge pool and if, like us, you come with a group of friends and fill the place then you'll find you use the pool as you might a sofa - you just flop in for a minute or two whilst waiting for the other to get dressed for supper, or for watching the birds (avian kind, swooping over the Bay) or cooling off after the arduous task of boiling the kettle or rinsing the bathing costume you wore five minutes ago in the sea ! Iris and Bruno's boutique hotel is still the perfect lunchtime or dinner destination - walking back 100 yards in the moonlight is Sooo invigorating - and if anything, Bruno's cooking is better than ever. His use of local ingredients is really confident now and the locals are coming the appreciate it as well as the guests. If you don't believe me - just go and try it.
We had a fantastic time and would not hesitate to return. You have done a great job in the design and setting of Two Bays. Sleeping with the shutters wide open with the sound of the ocean at night was so relaxing. The pool is great and ideally located. We enjoyed eating at Cabier and Iris and Bruno were really excellent. We also enjoyed cooking some meals in our studio. The information package you provided was complete and as a result we were prepared for our stay. The staff was great and the unit clean and comfortable. The other guests at Two Bays and Cabier all seem to be seeking the same thing - a great getaway in the non touristy Caribbean. That meant for some good conversations and outings. We will be back. …
Two Bays Beach Villa - One Bedroom Ocean View Apartment
Great West Indies Experience
We had a very good stay in Grenada. We found the locals very welcoming and genuinely pleased that we had come to visit their island. The island was less developed than we expected and clearly the locals feel some frustration at the slow pace of recovery from the hurricanes.
We spent our first week at Morne Rouge, which is a beautiful bay, quite quiet, calm water and good for children. Our guided tour of the island was well worth while.
For the second week we used a hire car (organised through Cabier Lodge and all worked well). We found Two bays Villa without difficulty thanks to their instructions and the driving was not as daunting as I feared it might be. The villa was great. Really roomy with great character and wide verandas on three sides and wide opening doors. Lovely to lie in bed in the morning looking out over the bay. We ate a couple of times at the lodge - Bruno is a great chef, and all the staff friendly and efficient - but mainly catered for ourselves and enjoyed dinners on the veranda in the moonlight. The pool is lovely and a nice area to relax and read in the sun, although quite small, about 4 strokes from end to end. We were glad of the pool since the beach was pretty much covered with seaweed. Something that happens from time to time on the Atlantic coast apparently.
We spent a couple of days exploring to the North of the island. You have to engage with the local community as there are rather few tourist spots and we saw very few other tourists. I gather that it was after the main tourist season. We didn't see any other white faces during our visit to Grenville, which was fine, but surprising. We visited the Belmont Estate and also the River Antoine Rum distillery that we found very interesting and tasted their fiery rum!
Overall this was an interesting and relaxing holiday. We really felt that we got a good experience of the West Indies culture. …
Two Bays Beach Villa - Cabier Beach Studio
Beautiful "rural" location, wonderful people - overall fantastic!
Staying on the less busy east side of Grenada was wonderful and gave us a great base for vacation exploration given this was our first visit to Grenada and we were going to St. Georges later in the week for work. Two Bays was exactly what I was looking for and eating breakfast and dinners at Cabier worked out perfect. The staff was amazing and the dinners/drinks were especially fantastic! I would recommend this to anyone who wants an off-the-beaten path experience in Grenada, but if you rent your own vehicle you must be prepared to drive on challenging roads, otherwise hire a car to take you and arrange tours through Cabier. …
