“Convenient for walks/taxis” We made the right choice staying in the casita. Easy to walk to shops and restaurants, including a nice grocery store, dry cleaning, salons, computer store, banks/ATM, and coffee shops. Taxis parked around the corner from the house, and we could easily get around town for 30-50 pesos per ride.
The house was well-appointed with all dishes and linens. House has phone for making calls with TelCel credit - you can send and receive text and voice messages. Bedroom has shutters to darken room completely. Small balcony is nice for watching sunsets and mountain views. American style washing machine/dryer. Carol was very helpful with travel tips and suggestions.
Two cons: Bring earplugs, as we heard a few neighborhood parties and barking dogs. Internet was a little patchy, but they are working to improve the service.
“Fantastic Vista & Exceptional Hospitality” I recently spent 5 days with my boyfriend at this spacious and affording studio. The vistas were spectacular from the location of the Rodriguez household. We took many panoramic pictures of the city from our place just under the Bufa. Our favorite detail of the studio was the boveda ceiling. The walk to the main street is about 15 minutes and traverses through a variety of mini neighborhoods that allow you to see the locals and if you're hungry and can't wait to get to the main road, they have food for purchase.
But the physical location of the studio pales to Buzz' hospitality. He agreed to pick us up at the airport (for an added charge) to alleviate some of the jetlag. He was right on time and cheerful. His hospitality reach a new lever when we were informed a delay in my boyfriend's flight. We ended up waiting for a few hours before having to leave the airport to return at 11 pm. In the hours between the original time of pick up and when we returned, he took me to dinner, shopping for water, and to get some ice-cream, all the while he shared generously of his life. He dropped off a bag of home grown tomatoes and limes which I in turn cut up for breakfast the following day. All in all Buzz was a gem. Thee only shortcoming is that we did not get a chance to meet Maria but her influence was felt in the extra pillows and blankets to keep us warm in the early hours of the morning.
We are definitely looking forward to seeing them again.
“Gorgeous and affordable Villas!!” Everything about our stay at Las Villas de Bellavista was perfect! It was very simple to make our reservation and make our deposit. The owner provided lots of info about the area even before we arrived. When we got there, we were greeted by a gorgeous oasis and a thriving, beautiful town. The villa was absolutely charming. Clean and spacious. The area was quiet, perfect for a relaxing vacation. The pool was clean and huge. Perfect for lap swimming. The grounds were immaculate and the gardens were exquisite.
The owner was very helpful with directions and suggestions of places to visit in the area. The villas are within 2 blocks of a major road where you can easy catch a cab or a bus. There is a large grocery store within walking distance, and the kitchen in the villa was stocked with all the needed tools to make your own food.
We will definitely visit these villas again, I could have stayed there forever!!!
“A Great Place to Stay for Any Length of Time” Having been a long-term renter at Las Villas de Bellavista, I would encourage anyone who is planning a visit in Cuernavaca to consider this establishment as a pleasant alternative to staying in a hotel.
The owners, Roberto and Cristina, are very accommodating and make every effort to assure that their guests have a pleasant experience during their stay.
The villas, each with their own unique style, are fully furnished with kitchens equipped for preparing just a cup of coffee or an entire meal. They are situated in a well-maintained, secure, garden setting and located about ten minutes on public transportation from the historic, downtown area.
Javier and Aurelio, the support staff, are both extremely polite and very conscientious about keeping the villas clean and making your stay as comfortable and carefree as possible.
So as a long-term guest, I highly recommend Las Villas de Bellavista for anyone who is thinking about spending any length of time in the" City of Eternal Spring".
