“Let's put it this way” Let's put it this way. If I'm not comfortable where I'm staying, I don't sleep well. Along with everything else, my stays at Sunset Chalet have been accompanied by wonderful and peaceful nights' sleep. Many things contribute to this; but perhaps most important - the house itself is comfortable and quiet! The setting is perfect (see photo), and the proximity of King's Beach (fast becoming my favorite town on Lake Tahoe), makes everything easily available. Not far away are some of my favorite trails in the whole Sierra, and at the end of the day, a nice swim from the nearby beach is much appreciated. And, my dog (see photo) is welcome. This is no small deal, and I'm grateful to the owners for their trust. I recommend everything about this house including the responsiveness of the owners.

“Paridise In Big Bear” My husband and I went to the Chalet with our 2 dogs and had a great time. Kiyoe was very welcoming. The place was very clean and homey. Our dogs loved the trails right outside the back door. What we enjoyed the most was the privacy and how quiet the area was. We definitely will go back! Thank you for having us... “Just like we imagined... everything we wanted and more!” This was my first trip to Big Bear, my first time renting a cabin, and my first time using FlipKey. I wanted everything to be perfect and so I looked at lots of cabins, hotels, and resorts. There were two things my boyfriend and I were looking for in renting a cabin, comfort and price. This cabin delivered on both ends, not to mention the extra privacy. The owner, Rich, is very accommodating, and very quick to answer any questions. His cabin is in great condition! The decoration is very cute, and the cabin is very comfortable. Chalet Dubois comes well equipped :). There are towels, blankets, netflix, and all the kitchen amenities needed to make you feel like you're at home. There is also a grill, and a pretty good selection of games. All the little extras that are available make this cabin extra special. The location is perfect! It is conveniently located near stores, ski resorts,very close to Big Bear Lake, and hiking trails.One thing that I appreciated a lot is that you have the option of cleaning the cabin up yourself before you leave, that way you will not be charged a cleaning fee and all the supplies needed are available. My boyfriend and I are students, and so any money saved helps out a lot, so having this option worked out great for us :)! I rented Chalet Dubois for 3 nights and got one extra night free! So awesome!! I'm curious why others haven't really left any reviews about Chalet Dubois, this place is like home away from home. I would definitely recommend this cabin to friends, family, and strangers. I hope to come back soon again! Thank you Rich for making your cabin available! It was perfect!
