“Aye, well, where could you see the ocean from a swimming pool in tropical forrest, up the mountain?” Very good accommodation, 4 km up the road from Lavina, with beautiful ocean views, large and comfortable bedrooms, semiresident cook, purser and masseuse. Bathrooms located at the rear of each bedroom, outside, in the garden. Which gives one an interesting feeling of undressing in the backyard and having a shower or bath! Must be done!
The property is next to the access minor road (track) into the villages further up in the mountain and as most Balinese believe in scooters, their presence is noted from the early hours of the morning till the late evening, but certainly not a serious issue.
Walking into town is very feasable and gives the opportunity to observe the local population during their daily routines, their houses, the occasional cow and pig. Plenty of photographic opportunities. However, you will need to consider motorised transport for your groceries.
“Perfect location and wonderful staff” The Villa Shanti at Dencarik near Lovina is the best place we have stayed in five trips to Bali. The villa and grounds are beautiful and were spacious enough so that the five of us who were staying could each find solitude if we wanted it in a variety of shady and relaxing places. The villa is set back from the sea and secure from the few passing hawkers and the outlook in every direction is superb. We did day trips to Menjangam Island, and to the Bali Tower at the Menjangam resort,as well as to Lovina and up to the Damai Villas for dinner. While all those places were lovely it was always good to get back to the peace and serenity of the Villa Shanti. Kertut, Ayu, Nyomang and the rest of the staff were faultless in their care. The food was delicious. Lying in the massage hut listening to the sound of the sea while we had a massage from Made and her colleague left us completely blissed out on a daily basis - each and every one of us floated back along the path to the villa with goofy looks on our faces. We enjoyed it all and look forward to returning one day. One word of warning - don't step on the black tiles with wet feet! Most of the tiles around the pool are white but there are a few black ones and they are very slippery when wet so please take care.
“Very nice stay at Villa Padma” Clean, nice, quiet location in a beautiful garden. If you like tropical nature than you imagine yourself in Villa Padma in paradise. So many colors and flowering plants. We have enjoyed and will definitely go back. The beach where close by, but the terraces are much nicer, it's a 10 minute walk, but we always went with the scooter. Central Lovina, Kalibukbuk, is the only town in North Bali, where a variety of restaurants and shops, which are fun for the western tourist. We also where in a beach villa in Dencarik, but that was far too remote from any local villages. We will come back next year to Bali, and Villa Padma!

“Beyond our expectations” When we first arrived we kept saying 'wow!' over and over, there were so many excellent features we loved about this villa. From the flowers arranged in water in a big pot at the entrance, the fabulous views, the facilities were excellent, many comfortable lounging spots, with little touches we appreciated such as the ipod full of music, a laptop and printer. Great staff that meant we hardly left the place but they were discreet so we had our privacy. We had a wonderful time here.
“We will be back!” Our stay at Villa Bali Breeze was such a special one. From the moment we arrived, we were well taken care of in such a warm, friendly way. The estate is stunning. Perched on a hilltop overlooking the ocean in complete privacy with views to die for. We stayed in the main homestead as a family of 5 and it catered for us all very comfortably. The main lounge area is outdoor with the dining area able to be closed off as a separate room. One of the big highlights for us was that there is no television or radio here, so it really allowed us to shut off from the world and just relax together as a family. The kids didn't even complain once! The bedrooms are located around the house with shutter doors that open to allow in light and beautiful scenery. The pool was a particular highlight for us & our kids - what a magnificant size and view! We spent so much time in here either swimming or just relaxing by the pool.
The staff were brilliant especially Gede. Very professional, very friendly and really made our stay such a memorable one. They were all so willing to help us in any way we required.
As for the location of Lovina, it is a longish journey (~3 hours from denpasar airport) but worth every minute. We will definitely be back here for a holiday again, we may even extend it with more family members that hire the guesthouse on the estate.
We highly recommend Villa Bali Breeze as a holiday destination.
