“perfect quite getaway” Excellent little get away. The cabin had everything you could need and more! Very quite and comfy. Only downside would be you have to dispose of your own trash at another location, meaning you have to load up your car with trash and dump it yourself a few miles away. I would think for as much money I spent for 4 nights, trash should be included.

“All the Comforts and More” Excellent service from day one to the very end. Loved that it is pet friendly and had a fenced in yard. Located in a residential neighborhood which was very quiet. The cabin had every amenity you could imagine except wine glasses. Would consider visiting again. Wish that the cabin had been located in Big Bear Lake instead of Big Bear City. Really enjoyed staying at the Sweet Pine Cabin.

“An awesome weekend in Big Bear: Slow check-in, great cabin” We had a great weekend in big bear in the cozy moonlight chalet. The only remarks are about the check-in and hot water. The desk was supposed to be open until 10pm on Friday but when we came at 9.15 it was already closed. Then the general check-in in Big Bear did not have our documents so we had to wait 45 min before we found out that we did not have to check in at all. Apparently we checked in online but that was not stated in the documentation that was send to us. So it was a slow/rough start but the weekend/cabin itself was amazing, minor point is the availability of warm water. We had to turn on the system ourselves and it did provide a little amount of warm water, but only 1 person enjoyed a warm shower. Since the weather was great we could handle the cold water so it was great. The fireplace makes the cabin really cozy and fun.

“Awesome Vacation!!” Spent 5 nights at the hilltop hideaway with my girls. Had an incredible time. The cabin was extremely clean and very well maintained. I would highly recommend big bear cool cabins. The cabin had all of the amenities of home. Right down to the sweet back yard with a gas grill. And Btw...even the grill was clean! The location was close to everything we needed. My girls loved it and I'll be taking them back in the near future.

“A great Cabin” We enjoyed our stay at Cardinal Ridge. The cabin is very well maintained and obviously cared for by its owners. It had a lot more space than expected- good sized family room and kitchen/eating area, bedrooms were a nice size too. The backyard was perfect for snow play, especially for little ones and they had a cabinet with board games too. There is very little cell reception and no option of a land line, which was concerning if we needed to contact someone in an emergency. The kitchen is "fully stocked" but if you needs sharp knives or anything special (like a potato masher) I recommend bringing that with. Also, if you are picky about your coffee cups, bring your own. There was no place to put a trash bag in the kitchen (no trashcan) which was a little strange. The dishwasher, like most of the things in the kitchen, was about 30 years old (for someone used to new appliances it was hard to tell if we were using it properly.) The floors are very squeaky (a problem only if you are a light sleeper) and there are no vents in the floors to allow heat to come from downstair to upstairs which is a problem if you want your bedroom doors shut at night for privacy (the rooms got cold!). Despite the few things that really can't be changed, this cabin is one that I would love to return to in the future. The location takes about 15 minutes to get to from big bear lake, but the neighborhood is really nice! Cool Cabins the company on the other hand is one that I would prefer to never work with again. From the moment I booked I was unimpressed. They had trouble sending me the contract, and at one point sent me the wrong document and it ended up being a poor review of their company! They are not friendly at all (its not my fault they are understaffed and busy, I expect to not feet like I'm inconveniencing you by using your company). They provide towels (not enough for the number booked in the cabin, and they are the size of a hand towel, so I recommend bringing your own).
