“Clean, Cozy and Delightful” My wife and I usually use Flipkey's services to find places to stay whenever we travel. We have managed to pick the right places so far and Casa Frida is one that has met and exceeded our expectations. First of all, the owner (Katia) allows for a minimum stay of 1 night. Our trip this time was somewhat of an emergency and we were not planning to stay for more than a day. We contacted Katia at the last moment to reserve the place and she was very attentive to our needs. At the end of the day there is hardly anything I can say was lacking at Casa Frida. The place was very clean, cozy and delightful. The kitchen was adequately equipped and my wife and I cooked up a small storm for supper. We enjoyed a romantic night in the private backpatio by the pool; sipping wine while enjoying the cool breeze and admiring Katia's unique decor that she herself designed. A cute little pad in the centre of Merida.

“Truly magical! Wonderful experience. Go see for yourselves!!!” A group of 5 of us went down to the Haceinda for some much-needed R&R.; The gorgeous pictures they have online still don't capture everything this place has to offer. We got out of the car from the airport and were greeted with fresh Jamaica, and from that moment until we headed home, we were utterly pampered, utterly taken care of, and most of all, felt like we'd been in a warm, welcoming home. The hacienda and rooms have all been very tastefully decorated and appointed. It's a comfortable kind of luxury. You feel welcome everywhere on the property, and all of the appointments have an.. accessibility to them... all-in-all, it makes it very easy to stay there. I've had hotel and resort experiences where I felt like an intruder, like I was watched, and most of all, like it was very clear that I would be leaving at the end. this felt much more like staying in a close friend's space. You're welcome to look around, you're welcome to ask for what you need, and you feel comfortable. The staff are excellent-- they strike a perfect balance of making sure you have what you want and need, without feeling like they're hovering. Colleen, the manager, was great-- very attentive and accommodating, and the kitchen staff did a wonderful job with our meal and dietary requests-- we had a vegetarian, and some other specific dietary needs, and everyone at the table was always wholly satisfied and pleased with their meals. Do yourself a favor and ask for some guacamole by the pool-- it's pretty hard to have a better setting for such things. Also, consider yourself warned... you will have dreams about the key lime pie, the banana bread, and... well, basically everything we ate was awesome. We had some great times by the pool, hanging out in the common areas, playing pool and board games in the game room, getting spa treatments, and most of all, utterly unwinding in paradise. This was our first trip to Hacienda Petac, and it most assuredly will be the first of many.
