Stylish apartment great surf
Apartment | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 7
The apartment is in a complex with a pool and parking, directly in front of a large sandy beach. There are a few good local restaurants and small shops for the essentials. Aghroud is perfectly situated near all the surfing beaches. This region is a surfers paradise, with waves ranging from the advanced surfer (Anchors, Killers, Boilers) to the beginners (Panaramas, Bannana beach and surf tuition available).
For Children there is a large Aqua Park in Aghroud with many water slides and pools and a restaurant - ideal for relaxing and entertaining the children. 10 minutes walk away.
There is also a luxury Spa Yoga complex with beauty therapy, massage, yoga, surfing tuition, and bar and restaurant in the village just 5 minutes walk. www.paradisplage.com
Taghazout is just 7 minutes drive away, with many local restaurants and surf shops.
The apartment has a large balcony that is South facing so it gets the sun all day and you can see the sun set in the evening. The cost of living is very cheap.
Please note that the swimming pool needs cleaning and maintenance from time to time and that unfortunately this can happen any time of year, so that the pool may not be available for periods of time. But you can always use the pools in the luxury spa complex which is just 5 minutes walk away.

The Agadir region
On the Atlantic Coast of Morocco idea for picking up world class surf and sun all year round. Even in December and January it's T shirt and shorts weather during the day (but cold at night). An ideal winter sun destination and also very affordable compared to Europe. The surf is best between September and May.

"Fabulous apartment in a stunning location"
Absolutely stunning location and gorgeous apartment if you want to escape from the madness of everyday life.
The apartment is spacious, very comfortable (I have back problems and always worry about the beds when I go away but the bed was very comfortable), two very good sized double/triple bedrooms plus very comfy sofa beds in the lounge. It's well equiped with all the essentials and the balcony is perfect for eating listening to the birds or the nearby donkey who seems to like letting everyone know that he's there.
The sea is on your doorstep and one of the highlights of our holiday was watching the camels coming down the hill at the back of the apartment to drink at a well at the front of the entrance. There was even a less than one day old baby with the herd and it was a camel version of Bambi and all unsteady on its legs!
The beach in front of the apartment is vast with good waves on some days but if no good waves then it's still perfect for sunbathing and chilling. The pool area is also great - very quiet during the week and I often had the pool area to myself. The bougainvillea around the pool is stunning and it's a beautiful place to relax with a book. A few minutes drive away there were some serious waves for more experienced surfers.
It's only a short walk to a couple of shops for basics but a car is a benefit as there are some large hypermarkets to stock up on food / drink in Agadir (30 mins drive) and there is no alcohol available locally except at a price at the Paradis Plage. There are also some great places to visit for the day - I would recommend a drive to Essaouira both for the interesting journey and for the fascinating city once you get there. For fruit and vegetables the the Wednesday market in Banana Village is a must with incredibly cheap fresh produce, an array of delicious spices and more olives than even I could eat...
There is also a great French Restaurant 10 mins walk away - not cheap but excellent quality and you can take your own wine.
I will definitely be returning......
