This lovely property is a ground and first floor Duplex within a small, quiet development of 12 apartments, located across the road from the beach in Speightstown, on the prestigious West Coast of Barbados. There are two air-conditioned bedrooms - one with a double bed, the other with twin beds. The Caribbean-styled lounge is also air-conditioned, and is equipped with a SmartTV , DVD, phone and Wireless Internet. The lounge opens onto a private balcony, overlooking the beach and its wonderful Caribbean sunsets.
The balcony has two luxury sunbeds, and a 4 seater table for romantic al fresco dining. The kitchen/diner is fully equipped to a very high standard to include washing machine, dryer, dishwasher etc and includes a 4-seat dining table. It opens onto a large integral foyer with direct access to the beach, for swimming and snorkelling. There is also rear access from the covered and gated secure car park. There is an optional security gate to the back door of the unit which if used creates a lovely breeeze flowing through the apartment.

Top quality linen, and bath & hand towels are all provided, as well as several beach towels. There is a weekly maid service - more on request. A housekeeper is also on the site every day, should you need any extra assistance. The phone can be used to make free local calls.
A 20% non-refundable deposit, payable by cheque or credit card, is required at time of booking, with the balance payable one month before arrival. A security deposit of £250 is also required, payable with the balance, and will be returned to you on safe receipt of the keys, and subject to no major damage or breakages.
The Saint Peter Parish region
St Peter is the most northerly parish on the prestigious West Coast, with glorious beaches on the deep blue Caribbean, set in a perfect tropical climate. Green monkeys, humming birds and various seabirds are frequently seen, and you may also be lucky enough to spot turtles swimming in the warm waters, or even coming ashore to build their nests. Indeed, one of our guests recently witnessed, on the beach directly in front of the apartment, the hatching of over a hundred baby turtles!
Less than a 5 minute walk from the apartment you'll find the centre of historic Speightstown, which is the second largest town on Barbados, retaining many authentic and charming buildings and features from its colonial past. Largely untouched by tourist redevelopment, it's a bustling market town with street stalls, local shops, and a friendly atmosphere. The town, however, does have all the amenities you'd expect, including banks, a post office,doctors, pharmacies and two supermarkets, as well as restaurants, coffee bars etc
Within a five minute walk there is also a bus station, with frequent services to the whole island, at a set fare of only BD$ 2 per journey (approx. 70p).
There are numerous beautiful and spectacular sandy beaches within easy walking distance, at Port St. Charles, Almond Beach and Schooner Bay - and remember, there are NO private beaches on the island. For Scuba diving visit the "Reefers and Wreckers" dive shop, where you can book lessons or hire equipment. Watersports and boat trips are readily available along the West Coast but especially at nearby Mullins Beach.
For keen golfers, it's only a 10 minute drive to the famous Royal Westmoreland and Sandy Lane Golf Club.
Holetown is a short car or bus ride away. Here you will find the duty free designer shopping and entertainment centre at Lime Grove, SuperCentre Supermarket and a number of good restaurents and bars.
