Villa | 4 bedrooms | sleeps 7
11 Camilla is a recently restored four bedroomed individual villa with plunge pool and situated in a safe residential area within walking distance of the beach and local shops. The through lounge diner is comfortably furnished and leads to the well equipped kitchen area. The living space flows well and is ideal for entertaining - We have recently had six adults staying at the house with no problems at all. There are three decks - all with sea views, as well as an upper and lower garden - plenty of places to hide and read a book! If we could we would live there all the time! The property is well place for access to Newlands for Cricket and Rugby fixtures by rail from Glencairn station.

The Western Cape region
The property is situated in an area of outstanding beauty being within an easy drive of many interesting locations including Cape Point, Simon's Town , The Winelands and Cape Town Waterfront.
What visitors may consider to be Cape Town is spread over quite a considerable area and therefore car hire is essential. Having said that road links are excellent and quick. Cape Town Waterfront can be reached in 35 minutes, as can Camps Bay and the Cable Car. Constancia, with it's famous vineyards and restaurants is a mere 20 minutes drive and hosts many fine eating establishments. Nearer to home is Kalk Bay where many a famous film has been made featuring the small fishing harbour. Simon'sTown which is a very short drive away is justly famous for it's Historic Mile and has many examples of Victorian buildings which have been lovingly restored to house restaurants and shops. There are museums depicting the Naval history of the town and guided walks through the back streets of the town. Further on is Boulders Beach with it's Penguins and Cape Point. This stretch of the coast is famous for close encounters with WHALES during the season.

"Surprisingly good house"
After 19 hours on the plane, a spectacular drive over the mountains, we finally arrived at the house. We were met by a friendly caretaker who showed us around.
Wow, we were not prepared for the breathtaking views of the bay from the balcony. We noticed also that the owners took care of the house, the rooms have good standad with proper furniture. It was fresh and not worn, we were not disappointed.
If you rent this house you must have a car, but be sure not to rent a small car, it's steep hills. Our automatic transmission car did not like us!
We can recommend the house.

"Everything we expected and more!"
We travelled as an extended family with 2 small children. Camilla lived up to all of our expectations in terms of high quality spacious accommodation and location. Camilla provides everything you need - great facilities and ease of location with a good road network (vineyards within 20minutes, Cape Town around 35mins). Waking up each morning to the sound of the sea and view of the mountains was simply a joy.

"Family Adventure in The Cape"
Six of us, aged between 9 and 60+, stayed at 11 Camilla for two weeks. We used the house a base for our wanderings around the Cape.
The house was easy to find and excellently presented on arrival. The four bedrooms were exactly what we needed to fit our party. The standard of furnishing was very comfortable and we particularly appreciated the well appointed kitchen and dining area as we like to self cater.
Views from the house are quite spectacular as it looks out over the bay toward Simon's Town. The house is in a spot where road access to the whole Cape Town area is really easy. We spent much of our time along the False Bay road, in Muizenburg etc. Cape Town itself is about 40 minutes drive away. It is also very simple to drive from the house out toward Sir Lowry's Pass to access the Garden Route and also Hermanus for whales and sharks.

"A dream getaway in a country we love"
My husband and I had an uh-mazing holiday at Camilla. It's in a b-e-a-utiful location and we had everything we needed and more.
A couple of places I would recommend visiting for food & a great vibe when in Capey...
- High Tea at Twelve Apostles - gorgeous views and tasty treats with a South African twist.
- Visit the Old Biscuit Mill Market, Woodstock on a Saturday - beautiful stalls with crafts and very tasty food.
- Kingklip at the Grand Café, Camps Bay - you may even get serenaded by an Opera singer wondering by.
Cape Town is a beautiful place and staying at Camilla added to that and I would highly recommend it. Thank you Pat & Steve. :)

"Incredible views, open space and fabulous home"
This home was wonderful. The decor is lovely. It has everything needed to make your vacation perfect. Very safe neighborhood with neighborhood watch. Great location to get to Simons town quickly and not far from Cape Town. The pictures do not do this house justice for how lovely it truly is. I would definitely stay here again if the opportunity was there. The owner was a pleasure to work with. My mother broke her leg so it did pose some challenges to get up the driveway and stairs but once in the home it was very wheelchair friendly. The master bath shower was perfect for her to wheel right in. No complaints.

"The Villa is ideally placed for exploring or just relaxing."
The villa is a perfect home away from home, in a location with great views and easy access to both Cape Town and the rest of the Cape. It is very well equipped and the four of us wanted for nothing. Even when the toaster died, a brand new replacement was delivered by the owners agent, Tim, within 24 hours. The availability of a USB dongle meant that at last we had internet access at all times, something which we found extremely hard to achieve during our previous 2 weeks in other parts of the country. Most villas and locations you visit and then move on, this is one that we would readily return to if we decided to holiday again in S.A.
