About the home

Our spacious top floor apartment has fabulous air conditioning for the Summer and is situated in a very desirable location within the award winning resort of Delta Sharm.
The apartment has its own stairway leading to a large private sunny balcony. Situated next to the resorts Health Club & Spa with several treatments available as well as a fully equipped fitness centre. It is in an ideal setting for a relaxing holiday.
A short stroll will take you to any of the swimming pools which include free sunbeds, parasols, towels, water slides and jacuzzis.
For those who prefer to relax by the beach you can make use of Delta Sharms beach in Naama bay with a shuttle bus for 10 LE, for topping up the tan or snorkelling in the clear waters with the local marine life.
The apartment is fully equipped with everything you will need, English cable TV (64 channels with information, movies, sport and much more), DVD, MP3 music dock and playstation. The kitchen has a gas cooker, toaster, kettle, washing machine and large free standing fridge freezer. The large bathroom has a shower cubicle and is tiled throughout. The master bedroom has a King Size bed and a single bed, making it suitable for both couples or friends just travelling together. The apartment also has a double sofa bed in the lounge for occasional use or for families with small children.

Our apartment is light and airey and is larger than all the other one bed apartments on the award winning Delta Sharm complex.

Furniture for 4 people is provided on the balcony.
Surrounding the apartments are extensive landscaped gardens with fountains, wooden bridges, gazebos and some playgrounds. Observation towers provide everyone with the best views of the surrounding Sinai mountains, Red Sea & nearby Tiran island. There are many swimming pools within the Delta Sharm complex. We have 6 swimming pools very close to our apartment.
The resort provides 24 hours security and has its own medical centre on site. There is a heated outdoor swimming pool for the cooler months (Although very rarely needed in Egypt).

Shopping that includes supermarkets, pharmacies, bank, hairdressers, travel organisers for booking trips and cyber cafes. Free wifi is available at Friends restaurant coffee area. More shops and facilities are available in Naama Bay or Old Sharm which are just a couple of minutes away by taxi or you can take the mini buses to these for just a couple of Egyptian pounds (about 30pence sterling).

Why book with us?
* You have complete flexibility over when you arrive and depart. We have no check in or check out time. If you have taken your own transport from the airport then you will be met by our local representative usually 9 am - 8 pm.
* We have the largest one bed apartment available in Delta Sharm giving you plenty of space. It is larger than most of the two bedroom units in the resort.
* If you are travelling on your own we will not charge any under occupancy fees. The price you pay, is for the apartment no matter how many people are travelling.
* Transfer of money to us is hassle free and we don't expect the full balance until 8 weeks before your departure
* Between us we have sixteen years experience in the travel industry and therefore know what our clients want from their holiday. We have been renting property to holiday makers for the last 7 years and have many returning customers.
* We try to put around 50% of money taken from our guests back into the apartment each year to maintain high standards
* Trips and excursions can be booked through our agent Glynis in resort to save time, money and hastle.
* We welcome all nationalities to our apartment including single travellers, people with Egyptian partners, small families and friends
* If your circumstances change, where possible we will move your booking to other available dates without charge. (except christmas, new year and easter)

We will endeavour to get back to you within 24hrs of receiving your enquiry (there is some delay from enquiry to us recieving a text from holiday lettings) As soon as you are ready to book we will block out your chosen dates on the calendar.

Conditions

No smoking in the apartment please.

Cleaning at the end of your holiday is included in the price , however, if you book for two weeks, a mid term linen change is included but not an apartment clean, unless you wish to pay extra to our agent in the resort.

The Red Sea Riviera/Sinai region

Sharm El Sheikh lies on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsular.

Climate
The sun sure location with luxury apartments along the sparkling Red Sea coast make it a perfect year round holiday destination. Egypt is very hot & dry - It can reach well over 35 C between July and September. However between November & March it is warm during the day 23 C but it can be chilly in the evenings.

Money
Banking could not be easier as ATM macines can be found all around Naama Bay & Old Sharm. Banks that offer money exchange include Mibank, HSBC & Credit Agricole. There are around 10 LE (Egyptian pounds) to £1. We have found as frequent travellers that withdrawing money from the local cash machine is the best way to get your foreign currency. The cost of living in Egypt is very cheap compared to the UK.

The Sharm El Sheikh / Naama Bay area

Why we think you should choose Egypt
Egypt is a fantastic choice if you want sun. You will hardly find a cloud in the sky all year round and is a better alternative to the Canaries during winter where they suffer from strong winds and cloudy mornings. the most popular time to visit is during winter as the days are sunny and the evenings are cool.
You will find an excellent variety of things to do. Waterparks, Dolphin park, Beaches, Snokel sites, boat trips to some of the best dive sites in the world, jeep safaris and trips to the cities of Cairo and Luxor.
Eating out is so cheap, you can eat like a king everyday. Some prices for comparison are; large beer in a bar in Naama bay will set you back 1.80 GBP, burger and chips 2.20 GBP, salads 1.50 GBP, 1.5 litre bottle of mineral water 50p and a three course meal is around 7 GBP.

Eating Out
There are plenty of restaurants in the Delta Sharm resort with special evenings, themed nights and entertainment. In the evening Naama bay comes alive. It has an international feel by offering restaurants such as Hard Rock Cafe, Baskin Robins, KFC, Pizza Hut & McDonalds as well as numerous local restaurants serving typical Egyptian food. Old Sharm also has a wide variety of restaurants. Eating out in Sharm El Sheikh is an enjoyable experience and exceptional value for money.

Beaches
Delta sharm has its own private beach in Naama Bay or there are public beaches in Naama Bay & Old Sharm, both five minutes away by local taxi or shuttle bus for 10 LE. All beaches have plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, sun loungers, parasols and children's play areas. You can also take a local glass bottom boat trip from the beach in Naama Bay.

Nightlife
There are lots of bars offering outside terrace areas to enjoy a beer or two and nightclubs that are open to the small hours, the most well known being Ministry of Sound, Pasha & Hard Rock Cafe in Naama bay. Many bars put on their own Egyptian themed nights that will treat you to the joys of local folk music and belly dancing.

Shopping
Have fun haggling with the locals as you barter for good value leather goods, Egyptian ornaments, Water pipes and papyrus. The biggest local market is in Old Sharm. Away from the hustle and bustle of the markets visit one of the western style shopping malls in Naama Bay.

Sightseeing
Some of the excursions that can easiliy be booked through tour companies locally,
Cairo & Luxor, Introductory dives, Qualified diving & Courses, Coloured canyon excursion, Monestary of St Catherine, Sunrise over Mount Sinai, Camel trip / Bedouin Evening, Quad bikes & off-road buggies, Snorkelling & Lazy day boat trips.

Snorkelling & Scuba Diving
The Red Sea's clear tranquil waters and coral reefs draw diving enthusiasts back every year.
Don't worry if you are a novice as there are plenty of dive schools to choose from.
Some of the World's most famous dive sites such as Ras Mohammed and the wreck of the Thistlegorm await the experienced driver. The waters seperating Arabia from Africa offer a unique bio-diversity with species ranging from turtles, small sharks, hard & soft corals plus reef fish varying in shape size and colour.
If you do not wish to dive it is possible to enjoy this underwater world from the surface by snorkelling from the beaches in Naama bay or Old Sharm.
You could also take one of the many organised boat trips. These usually include a snorkelling guide to show you some of the best places and species as well as lunch and refreshments on board.

Spa treatments and Fitness Centre
Delta Sharm has an excellent Spa and fitness facility where you can spend a day or two of your holiday being pampered. The gym area has a large selection of Cardiovascular machines as well as fixed weight machines and free weights. You can pay to use this on a daily or weekly basis. The fitness centre also has a wellness centre with hot and cold jacuzzis for you to enjoy, you can have a spa only, gym only or combined entry.
On the upper level of the spa is the hair salon and beauty centre offering a wide variety of treatments.

To summarise a holiday in Sharm will suit every member of your family or group of friends. The amazing water and beauty of the sea attract the international divers, but you can also participate in boat trips, quad biking, sand-duning in the desert, Bedouin feasts, horse riding, swimming, windsurfing, and other water sports. Fly into Sharm El Sheikh International Airport.

Transfer time - 20 minutes by taxi to the Delta Sharm Resort.
There are numereous taxis parked outside the airport, you can spot them as they are blue and white. We recommend that you agree the price before getting in. Taxi prices are very cheap and you should not pay more than L.E100 (egyption pounds) or £12 always start low at around L.E 30 and build up to L.E 50 / L.E 70.

Cheap flight websites like www.cheapflights.co.uk/flights/Sharm-El-Sheikh, www.easyjet.com (for Gatwick and now Luton) and www.airticketcentre.co.uk have special deals to Sharm El Sheikh. www.thomsonfly.com have flights leaving 2 or 3 times a week (for 10,11 night options) or try www.travelrepublic.co.uk. British Airways also have good prices to Sharm. www.ba.com. Jet2.com are also starting more regional flights to Sharm if you want to set off from closer to home!!!

We have found it cheaper to book flights as far in advance as possible as airlines are not selling late deal seats anymore. At present if you can find a flight cheaper than £220 inc taxes and fuel supplements then that is great.

The location is brilliant, it was spotlessly clean, bigger and a much better standard than what I have seen on that complex. There wasnt anything that I could of wanted that wasn't there and the flexible check out time was a big bonus. Just want to say what a fantastic holiday we had in your apartment at Delta Sharm Resort and how nice it was to meet you both. Your apartment was like home from home everything we needed was there, including a bottle opener and tea towels. We loved your apartment. Really spacious, your information in the apartment was really helpful, the apartment had everything you could need and Glynis is really great (and comes from within half a mile of where we live!). Absolutely great location with a wonderful sunny terrace (and we noted that not all apartments on Delta Sharm did have). Having said that, we thought Delta Sharm is a great introduction to Egypt as everything is there and when we went it was even possible to get a pool to yourself! ...absolute bliss.....(so many pools on site). It was good to get around and about but we have to say that we never were so keen to stay within a resort until we went to Delta Sharm because it's so beautifully landscaped and has everything there.
We'll certainly be recommending your appt and Delta Sharm and we're sure we'll be back.
If you're interested in anything for the resort to improve, we guess wifi enabling would be good .........sadly Iris had a lot of work to do.....though an excuse to go to the Italian restaurant was never a bad thing (it was wifi enabled).

Just got back from 2 weeks in Egypt- One week at the Delta Sharm. I stayed in a one bedroom villa run by Adrian & Ruth booked off the holiday lettings website. The apartment was great- had everything we needed especially the washing machine which is great when travelling with children. The resort itself was gorgeous-very well maintained. We tried out many of the pools and restaurants. The food is very cheap- pizza for 17 LE, drinks 3 LE etc. My kids loved the monkeys and goats at the zoo and we loved exploring the resort. Internet is very cheap there as well 3 LE for an hour. It is at an ideal location halfway between Naama bay and Old Sharm. We found Old Sharm to be cheaper than Naama Bay. Don't bother going into Naama Bay in the morning as most things are closed including restaurants. Taxis were cheap and plentiful-we arranged early morning taxis for trips to airport (50 LE) thru the taxi service at the gate and all were on time. We really enjoyed this resort-and I am sure you will too!!!

I wanted to say that I had a great time in Egypt! Thank you very much! The appt is beautiful, the grounds are amazing! Glynis was a good help as well. I was concerned she would be there a lot, however she allowed us our privacy, being available for contact if we needed (which we didnt) Thank you once again for a wonderful opportunity!
