The Penthouse Suite is entered through you own private reception area, just a few steps away from our large and easy accessible car park and garden area. As you walk through the hand carved entrance doors, you are immediately drawn to the large and ornate, cast iron, spiral staircase leading up into the Penthouse Suite. A little to your right is your very own private gym. A spacious, light and airy room containing a Reebok treadmill, workout ball, yoga mats, a freestyle cross trainer, a Health Rider, a vibration exercise training machine and a Tunturi endurance video bike showing the latest training programmes and bike rides. If fitness isn't quite yet on your mind, just climb the few stairs up to the Penthouse Suite and enjoy the ultimate in living space, with such breathtaking views that many say are the "finest on Bequia".
At the top of the stairs you enter your indoor living and bedroom area with arguably the biggest and most comfortable bed on the whole of the island. Beautifully made mahogany doors and windows compliment the ambience and with closing louvers of a fully screened design, you can sleep soundly at night with the knowledge that the rooms are all mosquito free. A large walk-in wardrobe provides ample room for all your clothes and an assortment of local books provide interesting reading for anyone wanting to relax in the white leather chairs and sofa.
Open the door into the shower room and you are immediately impacted by the toilet with the ultimate view. Sympathetic and careful design has allowed this room to remain totally open yet remain completely private. The large, natural pebble shower has the same panoramic views as the toilet and the bathroom throughout has been fitted to the highest of standards. The shower even has a sit down seat and to complete the ambience tropical plants surround the curved and sloping pebble and stone wall. The bathroom has a granite top, solid oak vanity unit with 'His and Her' designer sinks and a full compliment of luxury bathroom toiletries and linen are supplied as standard.
An enormous outdoor living area measuring around 10.7m (35') square leads from the shower and bedroom area and this beautiful space offers the best in Caribbean style outdoor living. The kitchen area has a sink unit, 2 burner gas hob, fridge, combination microwave oven, toaster, kettle, cafetiere and a comprehensive range of high quality cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. An ice bucket is supplied and complimentary ice is available from the villa owners or their staff. The granite top moon bar is furnished with two breakfast stools allowing this lovely area to be used for Al fresco dining as well as an evening sunset bar. Two hanging cane chairs are the perfect companions for the stunning moon bar and two matching 'Captain' style rocking chairs are nearby. An authentic Thai cart wheel coffee table sits centrally under the main Ocean view arch and this is surrounded by a U shaped rattan seating area suitable for up to 10 people. A large hammock swings below the natural wood roof area, the perfect finishing touch to an already stunning room. As you walk forward a plethora of turquoise blues and greens come into view and with literally the whole of Admiralty Bay and the ocean in front of you, you cannot fail to be impressed. Sunsets and magical green flashes can be stunning and the view of the Infinity pool is incredible.
A 32” Sony, flat screen internet Tv gives access to our in-house entertainment system supplying high definition films, Tv, music and Internet radio. The television is positioned to allow viewing from both the comfort of your bed and the bedroom settee seating area. High speed internet and Wi-Fi is supplied in all areas and for those really hot days when the cooling Caribbean wind has taken a rest, you can turn on the air conditioner until the breeze returns. Ceiling fans are positioned over the bed and the various seating areas in both the indoor living and outdoor living areas. We have no biting sand flies (no see ums) at Tropical Hideaway and are usually mosquito free most of the year, except for a few around evening time.
Positioned by the bar area is a Bose speaker and amplifier system and this is networked into our in-house Sonos music system. This can be accessed and controlled by your own IPod, IPad or smart phone by simply downloading the free Sonos App. Enjoy a vast array of Hi-fi quality music directly from your fingertips.

The very large and beautiful 18m wide Infinity edge swimming pool is just a few steps away and this is solar heated, allowing the pool to be enjoyed all year round. Our winter pool temperatures are usually just below 30deg C with our summer pool temperatures rising to around 34deg C (93deg F). The majority of the pool is around 1.3m (52”) deep increasing to a maximum depth of around 2.2m (86”). Curved and generous steps allow easy access to the water and several raised areas provide an abundance of areas to sit, stand, chat or relax. Natural coral seats surround both the pool bar and the Gazebo daybed and with the large cedar tile roof overhangs, shade can be found in the pool at most times of the day. The entire pool is tiled using natural stone pebbles in pastel shades of greens and blues creating a visually stunning, balanced and natural effect, that blends perfectly with the turquoise colours of the Caribbean sea. As your eyes wonder out over the infinity edge and focus on the horizon, you cannot fail to be impressed. Now would be a good time to pinch yourself and appreciate the realisation of where you are and what you are looking at. These are often very private and magical moments and we know these memories will be with you for many years to come.
The Gazebo has a daybed suitable for up to 4 people and enjoys high definition Tv, music, internet radio and Wi-Fi. This is the ultimate place to wind down, relax and read a book or simply take in the stunning, panoramic views, they will take your breath away. Your own personal drinks and food can be enjoyed from these areas and the sunken, swim up Pool Bar, has a fridge, sink and serving area for your convenience. Led lighting enhances the evening ambience and pool lights allow the pool to be used after the sun has set. A large, non slip, coral tile patio adjoins directly onto the pool and this is furnished with sun loungers, parasols, chairs and tables, the perfect place to sunbathe and relax.

The Bequia region
The small island of Bequia gives you the true Caribbean, a sought after yet not quite discovered piece of paradise which is hard to find anywhere else. Unspoilt by mass tourism, it feels like home from the moment you arrive. You will find the people relaxed and easy-going, greeting you as you walk by and always available to offer help and advice.
The small airport opened in 1992. Until then, you could only reach Bequia by sea. This seafaring heritage is very evident on the island. Every family has some ties to the sea through fishing, boat building, sailing, merchant shipping and everyone has a tale to tell, over a beer or two. It is also a yachties 'best kept secret' and most yachts large or small find they drop anchor in the pretty bay at some time during their voyage. It is an island not to be missed
There are many beautiful, natural white sandy beaches, lush green hillsides and attractive villages. It caters for guests who want a quiet, relaxing holiday,or to those who want to fill their time with fun and adventure. During the winter season especially, there is something going on somewhere every night of the week..
The Caribbean is blessed with ideal temperatures all year round with daytime temperatures averaging between 25C (77F) and 30C (86F) throughout the year. An evening in the winter months (January to March) might see a low of around 24C (75F) and in the summer months the temperature will occasionally reach 32C (90F).
Princess Margaret, Lower Bay and Friendship Bay have some of the best beaches on the island and they are all within walking distance, Take a picnic or eat and drink at the local restaurants and bars. Belmont Walkway is only 25 minutes away and is a beautiful beachfront pathway passing various cafes, bars and shops which are well worth visiting. Both dive operators are based along here and cater for novices to experts. This is very popular pastime with visitors who want to explore the beautiful clear waters.
You can discover the island by taxi, or you can hire a car, scooter or bike. You can visit the Turtle sanctuary, plantation gardens, museums and pottery which are dotted around. Take a day trip to the neighbouring Mustique, Union or Canouan islands by fast ferry, or the world famous Tobago Cays by yacht or the Friendship Rose. Visit our 'mainland' of St Vincent and explore the volcano and waterfalls.
Bequia has its own 4 day Easter Regatta where, if you are lucky, you may be invited to race on one of the boats. It also has its own 4 day Music Fest at the very end of January. Bequia Carnival is usually in June and Vincy Carnival is around late June/early July

"An ideal holiday"
Tropical Hideaway was utterly delightful in every respect. The brand-new property is beautiful, offering several accommodations, each differently imaginative and carefully equipped with quality furnishings, nestled in a lovely growing garden, linked with a web of walkways. The two where we stayed felt immediately like home, comfortable and private. Julie and Martin, the friendly, caring hosts, were the best, ensuring that everything was in order, taking care of every small detail, and basically reading our minds. Enjoying their life on Bequia, they made us feel welcome from the first to the last moment – with a nice wine in the fridge, downloads of music a programs we might like, pool amenities, chatting about their fascinating adventures. On this enchanting island, Tropical Hideaways must have one of the best locations, with stunning views over Admiralty Bay that stretch to the horizon, which you never tire watching from your balcony or terrace or from the amazing infinity pool. We hardly knew what to do first – relax at home, roam the just-right-size laid-back Bequia sampling its gorgeous beaches, hike, enjoy one more interesting and delicious meal after another at so many easy-to-get to pleasant restaurants, visit nearby wonderful islands, from the “mainland” St. Vincent with its awesome volcano through the smaller islands in the Grenadines, to snorkeling in Tobago Cays, in short, being busy doing not much in paradise. We left only because we had to, and look forward to be back!
