The Saint Peter Parish region
Port St Charles, Mullins beach and Cobblers Cove are close at hand and sports enthusiasts will be happy to hear that both Sandy Lane and Royal Westmorland golf courses along with the David Lloyd tennis centre at Sugar Hill are a short drive away.
The Barbados "Platinum Coast," which extends through Saint Peter from the parish of Saint James just to the south, has helped to make Saint Peter a tourist hot spot. The parish is surrounded with white-sandy beaches including the world famous Mullins Beach. It contains many rolling hills and terraces some of which are still covered by sugar cane, which was the island's chief cash crop during its colonial period.
The villa is between Holetown and Speightstown, and is in walking distance of Mullins beach, where you can hire out jet ski's or take a short boat trip to see the turtles. The beach has sun loungers for hire and has a nice beach front restaurant, serving ice cold cocktail drinks, and good meals.
We may be able to arrange a day membership pass for two adults for the private members Sugar Cane Club Hotel & Spa. This includes discount off food and Spa treatments, use of Gym & Squash Court and includes use of their beach facilities at Lower Carlton, please ask for pricing.
The Parish of Saint Peter is one of eleven parishes in Barbados. It's one of only two that extends to both the east and west coast.
To see the Barbados Green Monkey, visit the Barbados Wildlife Reserve which is across the road from Farley Hill National Park.
Beaches: Barbados' crystal clear waters are cool enough to refresh but warm enough to relax in and sip on an ice cold drink like a rum punch or lemonade made with freshly squeezed limes and Barbados sugar.
Historic Houses of Barbados: As you travel around the island you will see many examples of the Chattel House, a distinct form of architecture that is unique to Barbados. The design of these small wooden houses dates back to Emancipation, when the former slaves were allowed to build a house on a piece of plantation land.
Restaurants: One of the culinary delights is undoubtedly the high quality local fish. The fishing industry in Barbados has been well managed to meet the ever growing demand of the restaurants. You can sample Flying Fish, Barracuda, King Fish, Tuna, Marlin and Snapper, enjoy.

"barbados dreaming nightmare"
This villa is owned independantly from the rest of the complex. The owner has a manager to be contacted if any problems arise. This manager was not on the island but on holiday when we locked ourselves… More
Thank you for your review, but your statement is not correct. Whilst our agent was on holiday for a few days you were looked after by our maid and you stated that she was very good. During your stay you unfortunately locked yourselves out of the villa, and you waited several hours before contacting me. Once I received the message I phoned your mobile number which you gave me and I also sent a text with the code for the emergency key safe, I also contacted our agent and maid and sent an email to the site and received the following reply “too late they decided to break into the villa” this I found was not acceptable. However as a gesture of good will I offered you £200.00 off any future stay and some drinks at a local events evening, which I understand you took up as I have paid the bill. A few days later you sent me the following email.
Just to let you know we r now having a good time here . It was a shame about that incident. The weather is great just a few showers and we r having a car today 4 3 days to enjoy the island. We r enjoying the pool we swim every morning which is great.

"My second visit to this villa - truly special"
This is my second visit to this wonderful country and a very high end villa – couldn't believe how well equipped it was, and what excellent quality the furniture, fittings and décor was the first time and it has been updated and made even better. It is stylish and comfortable with a lovely large living, eating and kitchen area which I particularly liked.
The bedroom is cool and relaxing with a lovely light breeze most nights through the shutters on the doors – so much nicer than the air con, although on the two occasions I used this, it was very effective.
The terrace was used every day for eating and relaxing in the evening, and the pool was immaculate. The ground staff were just as friendly and efficient, and did a wonderful job.
Anita the agent and the maid were both lovely, and did a really great job welcoming me back and reminding me of where to go and what to do.
The beaches were lovely - safe, uncrowded and picturesque, and the buses were still great fun and a cheap and easy way to get around.
The local garage was good for odds and ends and I used the free Jordans supermarket bus to get more supplies. There are loads of places to eat and everything is relaxed and friendly.
I will be back, thank you for another lovely holiday.

"FABULOUS IN EVERY RESPECT - CAN'T WAIT TO RETURN"
I have just returned from the most fantastic holiday. The villa was perfect with absolutely everything I could have wanted. It was spotlessly clean and decorated, maintained and equipped to a very high standard. The bedroom was a peaceful haven with a comfortable and romantic four poster bed, and doors that opened onto a lovely patio.
The villa was set in beautiful tropical gardens which were very well kept, and the pool was fabulous. It was cleaned every day by polite and friendly staff and I usually had it completely to myself.
The location was brilliant – within easy walking distance of loads of beautiful beaches, and a huge variety of restaurants and eateries to suit all tastes and budgets. There are a choice of supermarkets in town nearby, and the 24 hour garage and shop, which is an easy 2 minute stroll away has a good variety of all nescessities.
Barbados itself was a welcoming place and great fun. As a woman travelling on my own I always felt very safe and the people were friendly and approachable. The buses into Holetown and Speightstown were very exciting and an experience not to be missed! They are very frequent and really cheap to use.
There wasn't time to do everything that the island had to offer – swimming with turtles, gardens, caves and lots of other attractions as well as just chilling out.
The owner sent masses of information before I travelled to ensure that my holiday went smoothly, and the agent in Barbados was on hand to welcome me and to call if I needed anything.
I would not hesitate to recommend the villa to my family and friends, and I will certainly be returning – can't wait!!

The villa is just as pictured and described in the website. My husband and I loved the setting in which it is located....very peaceful and private with lush gardens. An easy 5 minute walk to Mullins Beach where you can reserve loungers/umbrellas. Definitely have a meal or two at their restaurant. Bomba is a local restaurant even closer than Mullins. Very good food in a laid back atmosphere. Thanks Anita for assisting us in getting acclimated.......and thank you Ian for all the information you gave us prior to our arrival and for the use of your beautiful villa.
