About the home

The house, set in a private, walled tropical garden in beautiful Vietnamese countryside, has an infinity swimming pool complete with swimming jet, and 3 bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. The ground floor features a large, open-plan living area extending onto an outside terrace and a well equipped kitchen, as well as the master bedroom, with French doors opening out onto the pool terrace. The upstairs area has two more large bedrooms, accessed via a large open-sided living space, overlooking the pool. There is a computer with ADSL internet for guests' use, Wifi, as well as a cinema projector with massive 3 meter wide screen and surround sound - plus more than 1000 movies to choose from.

Each of the three bedrooms have large queen-size double beds - an extra single bed in one of the bedrooms can be provided if necessary. All of the bedrooms are large - around 25 square meters each. Each room features a ceiling fan, plus a free-standing fan. We don't have air conditioning at the house - there is no need, as the ceilings are very high, there are fans throughout the house, and the house is on a hill, so it benefits from cooling breezes nearly all the time. Each en suite bathroom features a shower, basin and WC. The lounge and kitchen area are combined into a large open plan area, with folding glass doors opening up onto a covered terrace area for dining. The lounge features a comfortable sofa with seating for at least 8 people.

Upstairs, there is a open-sided balcony/terrace area (40 square meters) with more comfortable seating, overlooking the pool and surrounding countryside - a wonderfully cool place to lounge around at any time of the day.
The house has a separate laundry room with automatic washing machine.

The infinity pool - two meters from the downstairs bedroom - has a swimming jet, allowing you to swim constantly against it, as well as 5 jacuzzi jets. The pool has both sun terrace and shaded terraced area around it. There is also a separate wooden shaded chill-out area in the garden with bean bags and sofa/chairs. All this is set in a lovely tropical garden, and the house is surrounded by a wall which gives complete privacy. There is an outdoor barbeque perfect for fresh seafood from the market!

The South Vietnam region

The dry season here is October to April - at this time of year, rain is very rare, and the weather is nearly always sunny and warm, around 30 degrees, but kept cool by the breezes that blow almost constantly during the day - great for kitesurfing and windsurfing! This is the high season in Mui Ne, with plenty of people in the local town, a very good atmosphere in the restaurants and bars, of which there are plenty.

The rainy season starts in May and runs through to September here. This is actually a fantastic time to be in the area, it is much quieter than normal, cooler (once the rains start properly) and greener. It rarely rains for more than an hour or two during the day, and it is usually still sunny every day, and always pleasantly warm. You may experience the odd grey day with intermittent rain, but its never cooler than 25 degrees.

The Mui Ne area

Mui Ne is situated in the south of Vietnam, about 200km due east of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), on the South China Sea. The next big city is Phan Thiet and 20 mins drive away. Mui Ne is in the province of Binh Thuan.

Activities: Kitesurfing, Windsurfing, Surfing, Stand up-paddle, Golf (2 courses, 5 / 20 minutes drive away), Sailing

Attractions: fabulous beaches, wonderful Sand dunes set by a lotus lake, Phan Thiet Cyclo tour, Ta Cu Mountain (the biggest reclining Buddha in Vietnam), Motocross tours, Vietnamese cooking classes, exploring the countryside by motorbike or bicycle, trip to Waterpark (overnight stay in Nha Trang required)

The nearest international airport is Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) Airport, approximately 4 hours drive from the house. We can arrange a private taxi to meet you at the airport and bring you directly to the house. We can also arrange hotel accommodation in Saigon city for you if you want to spend time there before you come to Mui Ne.

“Such a nice house and such a nice owner couple!” Despite the up-hill location, although easily reachable by 10min taxi drive (very effective service too), a very nice, relaxing and enjoyable place to stay. The charming balinese style house offers all you need and is perfect for familes or couples of friends. And even if the house is already rented out, you would anyway come again and again, just to meet with the lovely owners!!!

“Great Getaway for families” Our family stayed during Christmas and New year in the Namkha Villa. And we liked the place from the first minute. The villa is very tasteful designed and has all facilities with you need for a great stay, an even more. The kitchen is fully furnished with all equipment even, orange juice maker. The barbecue outside was well working and we used it very often. The kids loved the swimming pool and the stream with makes o lot of fun for us as well. The garden with its big space was perfect to relax an run around. We liked the friendly owners Christina and Shina, they organized a driver or a very competent Babysitter within a few moments. They arranged surfing lessons and massage service at home for us. So for us it was a perfect stay and we recommend it to every family. We will come again soon.

“A great place full of wonderful and friendly ambiance” We had a great time there and the villa was so beautiful and we loved it to stay in the pool every day and we had there a lovely time full of recovery. It was fanstastic and we will recommend this place to all our friends and family.
