In Hurghada the sun shines every day so make good use of the roof top terrace. Hurghada can offer something for everyone, golf, scuba diving, snorkeling, eating, drinking, walking and fantastic night life. A divers paradise, many top dive sites can be reached on a daily basis including trips to the famous Thistlegorm. However if all you want is to eat, drink and sun bathe, the choice is yours.There are even a couple of water parks and quad biking to hand. I have been visiting Egypt for many years and never tire of it.

The apartment is fully equipped but who would want to cook when you can eat and drink for under £10?
There is a fantastic selection of bars and resaurants within 15-20 minutes slow walking distance for those who fancy a strole. (This part of Hurghada has recently been developed and there is a pormenade that stretches from the main road the aparments are on almost to Hurghada town). Otherwise easily reached by taxi or local bus. Using small white min buses you can expect to pay 1/2 to 1 Egyptian pound to get from the apartments to Hurghada. If you travel on the local large white or orange and blue El Gouna bus this will cost 5EGP still only equivalent to 50p sterling. These buses do not run from the airport, sorry!

The apartment is a three story block and has 24 hr bellman service, they are very happy to help. The pool level is an open courtyard and has three kidney shaped pools with small round children's pools. There are three Oasis developments all joined together to form the court yard and roof top terrace. As a visitor you have full access to all pools and the whole roof top area. The apartments were only completed in January 2008 so everything is brand-spancking new and unspoilt. The lounge and bedroom have a good air conditioning unit that will run as a heater in the coldest months when it is a bit nippy at night.

The Red Sea Riviera/Sinai region

Here the sun shines 365 days of the year and it is a very rare event to have rain, in any event it does not last long. From the end of Novemeber to the begining of April it can be a little cool at night and breezy. Christmas in Hurghada is an excellent time, the hotels and bars are lavish wiht their decorations and their hospitality contributes to a wonderful celebrtation atmosphere. After the begining of April things warm up quickly. Be warned if you intend to go June-August unless you really like it the heat can be gruelling.

From Hurghada you can take a bus or fly to Cairo to see the pyramids. Luxor is also within reach to see the Valley of the Kings and Karnak Temple, well worth a visit.

Hurghada / Intercontinental District

The Intercontinental District is in the locality of the Steinberger, Hilton Resort, and Grand Plaza Hotels. All their facilities are available for you to use and dining in them is a real delight after hard day playing in the crystal waters of the Red Sea discovering marine life.

The areas where the locals shop and live is accessible by bus as already mentioned (Sigala and Dahar). The whole length of Hurghada is filled with really good places to eat and drink at cracking prices you won't get at home.

If you want to make use of your duty free allowance you must go to a duty free outlet in your first 48hrs of stay or you will lose the allowance. As this is a Muslim country you will not find wine and beer for sale in the supermarkets as you do at home, so make the most of your inflight allowances. Do not worry though as it is very cheap to by alcohol with meals, snacks etc.

Travel from the airport in Hurghada can be done by taxi at nominal fee. Be careful to agree the price before you leave the airport and watch out they will fleece you if they can. The transfer only takes about ten minutes.
Ask the driver to take you to the Intercontinental District close to the Hilton Resort and Grand Plaza Hotels. Ask for the Oasis 5 apartments. It is possible for me to arrange for you to be collected and returned to the airport for £15 however you can actually get it cheaper than this.

The furnishing is modern wrought iron purchased locally. The soft furnishing is in pisatchio to create a contrast to the simplicity of the decour. Warm mood lighting creates the cosiest of atmospheres at night.

The two single beds in the bedroom can be pulled together to enable sharing a bed for those who wish to be a little more romantic.

The bathroom has a bath and shower, be warned the water does get very hot.

The kitchen has all basic equipment, but no microwave at present. The gas cooker is run from a bottle. In the unfortunate event it runs out the bellman will assisst in a refill, and I will reimburse you.

This apartment is not for those looking to live in luxury. It is basic, comfortable, brand new and clean.

This apartment has a beach 5-10 minutes walk away. In addition you can make use of the beach front at the Hilton Resort Hotel 3 mintes away, there is a fee for a sun bed here, also there are gym facilities that can be used even though you are not staying there, there is a fee to pay. They are very friendly and accommodating providing a first class massage too!

The apartments are set apart from other complexes, private and retiring. Local shops, bars and hotels are anything from 3 to 10 minutes walk depending on what you want to do.

If you are a diver any company you book with will come and collect you on a daily basis, so take your pick!

Further details

Payment is required in full eight weeks prior to travel and a £50 per person refundable deposit is required at the same time.

On making the booking 25% of the total rental fee is required. If the booking is cancelled this is non- refundable.
To cancell please contact me directly in writing. Cancellation commences on the day I receive notification, this can be by email.

The following cancellation charges apply;
More than 8 weeks prior to occupancy- 25% of the cost
56-29 days prior to occupancy -50% of the cost
15-28 days prior to occupancy -75% of the cost
14-0 days prior to travel-100% of the cost.

I recommend travel insurance which may be cover any cancellation fees but all claims must be made direct to the insurance company.

If the balance is not paid by the due date I reserve the right to cancel your holiday.

I can not accept any liability for any loss or damage, changes or cancellations due to major events such as, strikes, floods, fire, closure of airports, terrorist attacks, political unrest, war or the threat of war, industrial disputes, technical difficulties or weather conditions or any other events beyond my controle.

During your stay I do not accept any liability for death, personal injury,accidents, loss damage to persons or personal effects, however caused.

NB the price my be subject to change at my discretion.
The price is for up to 4 people and cost depends on occupancy, length of stay and time of year.

Conditions

I have indicated that this property is accessible to wheelchair users. This depends on the level of disability. There is one set of steps to enter the complex, this is about 10 small steps after this the apartment is on one level with one small step down to the pool level.

Rates are negotiable depending on total numbers satying, time of year and length of stay. For example a diver wanting a month stay for internment, etc could negotiate a lower weekly rate.

(A £50 per person refundable deposit is required 2 weeks before travel together with payment in full. A 25% deposit will secure your reservation at any time.)

The price that you pay includes gas (in a bottle) and electricty.
