Baan San Dao
About the home
The Baan Sandao Thai beach apartment is ideally situated just 1300 metres off the town centre of Hua Hin with the 'Market Village' shopping mall directly opposite. Here you will find European and Thai restaurants along with many other small food stalls. There is also the Tesco Lotus supermarket and many other shops that you would expect. If you want to eat more local food, then the main road springs to life in the evening with small street vendors selling a myriad of delicious delights to tempt you, you just take your pick. You can rest assured that the quality and hygiene is high and usually the best stalls are the busy ones but feel free to pick and choose. You can also go down to the night Bazar as there is a great selection of food, knick-knacks and trinkets for sale.
During the day you can chill out around one of the three pools or step down onto the beautiful white sandy beach, where the sea is perfect for paddling or swimming with a gently sloping beach. This is ideal for children to play all day long with small lagoons appearing when the tide goes out.
If you feel more energetic you could do the latest craze of kite surfing. This is best in the late afternoon when the breeze picks up, or there are other usual things like banana rides and jet skies and horse riding. If you want to get away from the beach then you could go to Hua Hin Hills Vineyard, the largest in Thailand, or how about one of the 9 Hua Hin Golf Courses. The Hua Hin Golf Course is within walking distance of the town centre and the others only a 30 minute drive away. There are also many other attractions to see like the Royal Palace, Monkey Mountain, Pa La-U Waterfall, Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park or if you want a tranquil day out there are many beautiful temples to choose from.

The Hua Hin / Hua Na area
Most Thais envisage Hua Hin as a romantic and elegant gateway holiday destination. This notion started off about 100 years ago when the Royal Family members and the well-to-do people would spend their summers there and as a result Hua Hin now has countless lovely seaside houses, villas and a few attractive vintage summer palaces.
Hua Hin is usually full of people taking a break from Bangkok at weekends and as it’s just a short drive away its popularity has remained. Much of Hua Hin’s attraction lies in the town’s charming old-world feel, best illustrated in Hua Hin Railway Station and the Maruekhathaiyawan Palace.

There are various ways to get to Hua Hin from Bangkok:
By Limousine
If you are coming straight from the airport, then you can use a private limo service from AOT Limousine. They can be contacted by email before you arrive on aotlimousine@yahoo.co.uk This is ideal as they will take you from the airport directly to the apartment in style! It is not expensive either at only around 3000 Baht one way, and you can book a return journey when you are at the airport if you wish.
By Taxi
Taxis are another option and they are all on fixed tarrifs with the meter running but you will need some money to hand for the express ways otherwise your journey will take quite a while longer, if you chose to visit Bangkok first then you can also come by train.
By Train
A 2nd class seat on an air conditioned Express train costs 380 Baht. Contact with friendly locals make 3rd class travel a great experience for just over 100 Baht.

Just arrive and enjoy, you wont be sorry. We spent 3 week in Ban San Deo ...... tryed to book again for next year but booked already!! This condo is ideal, 1 large bedroom en suite and a smaller double bedroom both well layed out with plenty on wardbobe space. There are 2 flat screen TV, one in lounge and one in the bedroom. We were delighted with the sun loungers provided in the condo for our use..... very comfortable when we brought them down to the pool area. Great location right on the beach......... lovely little places to eat on the beach ,and right opposite Hua Hin Market village if you feel the need for retail therpy. |

Stayed at this property for three weeks and had a great time. Its location almost opposite the Market Village offers a whole host of shops and restaurants and is open until 10pm. A tuk tuk to the Night Market and other restaurants costs only 200Bht or approx £4 and are easy to pick up anywhere. The pool area is large, has several pools at various depths (max1.2m)and is excellent for young children and the beach is right outside the garden gate. For a good inexpensive Thai meal try Noi's Kitchen opposite Market Village. |
