About the home

South Marina is a quiet walled village with cobbled streets, buildings painted in vibrant eastern colours bordered with palm trees. It is a 5min walk from the stunning Abu Tig Marina and walking distance to some of the beaches and Downtown.

This fully air conditioned 2 storey town house is modern, light and airy with 3 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The marble floors and staircases throughout give a welcome coolness from the heat of the day. Open plan fully fitted kitchen with eating and lounge area, french doors opening to a terrace with table and chairs for 'al fresco dining', leading you into the landscaped garden/pool area.

On the ground floor there is one double bedroom and bathroom. Upstairs there are 2 further double bedrooms, one with vaulted ceiling and a 4 poster bed. Bathroom. Also on this floor a second terrace with a table and comfortable seating.

Conditions

Refundable breakages deposit of £150.00 to be given to representative on arrival to hold for the duration of stay and which will be refunded on departure after a satisfactory inspection. This payment can also be made in EGP, Euro.

£100.00 deposit due at time of booking for each booked week to secure and confirm booking. Non refundable.
The remaining balance to be paid Six weeks prior to arrival.

The Red Sea Riviera/Sinai region

The sun shines virtually the whole year round making this an ideal holiday destination, offering something for everyone.

Some excellent excursions can be arranged locally - a desert safari at sunset, visit Luxor and The Valley of The Kings and Karnak Temple or a cruise down the River Nile.

You can also do a trip to Cairo and visit The Pyramids of Giza.

The El Gouna / South Marina area

El Gouna is sometimes described in the travel guides as the Venice of Egypt because the villas, townhouses and apartments are situated around lagoons and meandering canals, which form a series of small islands interlinked by bridges. This exlusive resort is 20km northwest of Hurghada on the shores of the Red Sea with the Sienna Mountains as its' backdrop. El Gouna offers one of the widest ranges of leisure possibilities in the Red Sea, making it a perfect destination for a holiday.

There are over 60 restaurants in the Abu Tig Marina and Downtown ranging from 5star hotels to italian pizzerias. Eating out costs less than half of the equivalent in the UK! Also a great choice of bars, or you can dance the night away at a Mangroovy beach party. Some excellent hotels are situated close by, including Steinberger which has a PGA championship golf course or the Movenpick with its superb spa.
Leisure facilities:

A 18 hole USPGA golf course designed to be accessible to every level of golfer. Fantastic diver's destination with nine dive centres. For the more experienced, the reefs and wrecks are amongst the best in the Red Sea. For beginners, the heated pools and calm local reefs provide an excellent start to your diving experience.
Also an ideal resort for all types of water sports/activities; kitesurfing, windsurfing, sailing, parasailing, waterskiing, snorkelling, deep sea fishing etc.
Tennis, go-karting, horseriding, beach volleyball, paintball games, quad biking etc.
Some of the hotels have excellent spas offering a full range of treatments, beauty salons and fitness centres.

.Flights land at Hurghada International Airport which is 20km from El Gouna. Transfers can be arranged on your behalf at a cost of appx 10 pounds.

Flights are operated by Astraeus, Exel, Thomas Cook. Thomsons, BA. Flight time is appx 5hrs from Gatwick.
Car rentals are unnecessary. Bus service is cheap and excellent (weekly unlimited ticket £1.50, Tok-tok 50p per person, taxis at £1.50 per ride.

“Lovely villa in a great location” The townhouse was spacious and comfortable. The master bedroom is lovely with a four poster bed and vaulted ceilings. The pictures on the site are a very fair reflection of how the house looks. The swimming pool and grounds were tidy and very well kept. I found dealing with the owner was easy and she was always keen to ensure that we had all the information we needed. She has a rep in El Gouna who was also very helpful. He left us alone to enjoy our holiday but was always there if we needed him. I would happily go to this villa again.

“Perfect Winter Sun in Chilled Out Luxury” Excellent house with a lovely shared pool. The house had everything we needed - we ate in a lot and the kitchen was well equipped. We spent most of our time sunbathing by the pool, which is shared by a few other houses, though we only ever saw 2 other couples, both retired. El Gouna felt totally safe and relaxed, clean and friendly. Not the constant attention like in other parts of Egypt. All we wanted is to be able to lap up the sun in the middle of winter in nice surroundings - and that is exactly what we got.

“It is simply PERFECT!” HI! We had the pleasure of staying at this property last month. The experience was just great. The property is very clean and extremely well-equipped with almost everything you will ever need, and more. We were 6 adults and we felt absolutely comfortable in the unit. The terrace is amazing and the pool is quite nice. I can't think of any disadvantages really. We are definitely returning next year, or maybe sooner. Highly recommended for families! Wishing you all a fantastic vacation :) B
