Welcome to Gearing Down! Enjoy a Captiva Island vacation home in luxury. Boasting an expansive floor plan with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms that sleeps 8 comfortably, Gearing Down is a desirable bayside home. Witness breathtaking sunrises from the covered lanai overlooking the private dock. Enjoy the peaceful serenity swept in by the cool gulf breeze in the private pool or hot tub.

On the first living level you’ll find a modern kitchen complete with bar style seating at the center island and a breakfast nook overlooking the bay. Adorned with artwork and the necessary amenities this first level is home to a formal dining table to seat 8, vast living room space, 2 bedrooms with king and queen size beds and 2 full bathrooms.

The master suite, located on the uppermost level, is furnished with a king size bed and private his and her bathroom complete with shower and garden tub Jacuzzi. Roll out of bed and soak in the sun’s rays on the master suite balcony while overlooking the bay. Adjacent to the master suite is the 4th guest room fitted with 2 twin size beds.

Gearing Down is centrally located to the Village of Captiva. The island’s restaurants, rental stores and retail shops are all within walking distance. A short walk through the village takes you to the beach where you can experience the postcard-worthy Captiva Island sunsets.

How do damage deposits work?

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Jeffrey (the owner) a message.

If Jeffrey (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
