The Western Cape region

The Cape is set between two seas, between East and West and for nearly 350 years the European cultures of the Atlantic ocean, the Eastern cultures of the Indian Ocean, and the cultures of the African interior have met and mingled here. This mix has influenced food, architecture, lifestyle, customs, and gardens. The best way to investigate Cape culture is to walk, look, talk, listen, eat and drink the Cape.
The long summer months, usually with a light breeze off the Atlantic ocean keeping temperatures comfortable, and the mild pleasant winters, gives us a perfect all year climate.
The Cape Town / Mowbray area
There are few places in the world where you can watch the sun set from the shores of two of the great oceans - the warm Indian Ocean or chilly Atlantic. So do what the locals do - as the sun starts to sink in the west, grab a bottle of perfectly chilled Cap Classique, some delectable deli fare, and head towards a favourite beach for yet another breathtaking sunset.
Activities could be anything from climbing Table Mountain (or using the cable car), lazing on the soft white sand of the beaches, visiting nature reserves, doing a wine tour, shopping malls, theatre, concerts, clubs or some of the finest dining available. The nearby Victoria & Alfred Waterfront offers shopping, shows, and day trips to Robben Island and around the cape by boat or helicopter...
Mowbray has the University of Cape Town, Groote Schuur Hospital and The Red Cross Children's Memorial Hospital in close proximity. The many student residences add to the lively, creative atmosphere, with many eating & meeting places within walking distance. Easy access to the Cape Town Stadium.
Swimming pool, golf courses and other sports centres close by.

I enjoyed my stay in Cape Town, this is a central location to use as a base. I wish I had more time to explore, Table top was special. EZDUZIT

We really feel here we are at home. You kindly supported us and arranged lots of things for us, which brought us lots of calm & peace. So we had a great and wonderful journey to here. Hope to see you in Iran. Many thanks for all your help ?

We’ve had a lovely time in your house. You’ve looked after us so very well. We will remember our stay here with fond memories and recommend you to our friends and family. All the very best to you.

Happy Easter! Thank you Brigitte for your warm hospitality and fun companionship. You have greatly enriched my time in Cape Town. I appreciate your generousity and easy going attitude. I could not imagine a better hostess!
Susan, USA, Mar 2008
Idylic everything! Brigitte is by far the most wonderfully generous and kind-hearted landlady, we have ever met. We’ve had a superb time making her acquaintance, and enjoyed a few good braais and giggles. We will sorely miss “Malleson Rd” and all that goes with it, but we’ll most definitely be back.
