The easiest way to get to Misty Mornings is to fly in to Cape Town international. If you wish to hire a vehicle all the major car hire companies operate out of the airport and bookings can be done on line. I do suggest that if you arrive at night that a taxi or shuttle bring you to Misty Mornings. We offer airport transfers and will happily arrange car hire if you so desire.
Directions from Cape Town international.
Take N2 South, Take M3 South to Southern Suburbs and Cape Point. Continue 15 - 20 minutes till you reach M64 "T" Junction. Turn right at traffic lights onto M64. Pass through one set of traffic lights then take the next turn off left onto "Oukaapseweg" still the M64. Enjoy the ride over the mountain pass till you turn right at second set of traffic lights which puts you on to Kommetjie Road. From here it is 10 minutes to Kommetjie. As you come into Kommetjie turn first road right into Wireless Road, continue till end, enter Klein Slangkop Estate, Once through boom first road left, second road left, as you come down the hill first driveway on your left.

We were met at Misty Mornings at the agreed time, welcomed with genuine warmth, showed over the beautiful, two-storied, open-space luxury home, with all its facilities and amenities (fully equipped as home from home) . What a spacious, warm, sun-lit home (natural stone and wood and thatch), overlooking the spectacular view of Hout Bay, surrounded by mountains, and the golden beach of Kommetjie. Upstairs accommodation for mom and dad and two children and downstairs another bedroom (for gran?), the spacious living room and open-plan kitchen, all overlooking a clear, mountain-style swimming pool and wooden deck. We were delighted to see children playing safely on the beach and in the rockpools, while adults are able to go for long walks a sandy beach that goes on forever. And within half-an-hour drive in any direction, you have access to all that fabulour Cape Town and the Peninsula has to offer. We can't wait for our next return visit! “The location of Misty Mornings is simply sublime, and the stay was deeply restful and peaceful. The house and everything in it was in mint condition and Jo and Maizylle were wonderful to deal with. Misty Mornings is a home away from home, they have made sure that there is everything you could possibly need there. My director Ellen Windemuth stayed there from the 2nd to the 15th May with her family - this is how I heard about Misty Mornings. Ellen's review says "We had the most wonderful family holiday at Misty Mornings. Two weeks of dramatic sunsets, long beach walks, excursions across the peninsula, and relaxation. "Great facilities, very relaxing and 50m away from an epic beach"
The facilities and amenities were top class and Jo's team supported us whenever we needed help, which wasnt often. The house is about 50m walk to the beach and it provided a great location for our holiday. Our six year old loved it as there were buckets, spades etc on hand, as well as inflatables for the pool. "Wonderful week in Kommetjie" We are full of praise for our stay in Misty Mornings in Feb 2010. The house is lovely with lots of personal touches and incredibly peaceful and safe. Jo and her colleague were on hand if required but totally unobtrusive and Jo brought us an absolutely delicious crayfish one evening. The walks from the house along Noordhoek beach are breathtaking, we rate this probably the best beach in the world and as beach lovers we have seen a few. Cant wait to go back.
