“Great vacation home!” We enjoyed our week in a Reason To Be! It was very comfortable and well-equipped. It was a little farther from the beach than we had thought, but still a short walk. Might be too much of a distance with toddlers/babies in arms. Otherwise, great place and a great price!

“Absolutely the best place to stay in Maggie Valley.” We have been coming to Maggie Valley every year for the past 20+ years and can honestly state that this has been the best vacation we've had in Maggie Valley. The Cabin is comfortable and the creek is close by and we enjoyed many hours sitting on the swing and listening to the creek. The home is decorated beautifully and the Master bedroom furniture is just like it stepped out of a magazine. The location is the best and close to the highways going to asheville or Cherokee. We are now planning our next trip to Maggie Valley and plan on staying at Shady Creek again.

“Incredible sunset; wonderful hospitality” This was our second stay at the Crest and it was as memorable as the first. The home is lovely, spotless, and well stocked. It is worth repeating how clean and well maintained this home is. It is very spacious, open, and easily accessable. The Crest is listed as a 3 bedroom, however there are 6 beds that include 2 beds in the loft. In the Boone area, it is a challenge to find 2 bedrooms on the same level. So, this is a bonus if you have children, elderly guests, etc. I love it that the master bedroom with bath opens to the porch where that lovely sunset awaits! Want privacy, you've found it- inside and outside. There is a lovely bedroom on the lower level that has a private outside entrance and indside stairs as well. Butterflies and birds love to visit! A front and back porch provide plenty of space to rock, swing, and relax! What a simple no fuss rental process as the owner is a jewel to work with! Within walking distance to a waterfall and "the Rocks" as the locals call it, make this an ideal place to experience nature and wildlife. Plan to stay awhile as it will be difficult to leave!

“Convenient location and beautiful creek.” We stayed in the Park Model cottage during our annual fall visit to Maggie Valley to see the leaf colors. This is a small two bedroom , 1 1/2 bath manufactored home that is in a very convenient location on Jonathan's Creek. The surroundings were tight but it suited two people well. The cottage had all the conveniences that anyone could want in a vacation stay. With the two bedroom closets there was enough storage space for two but storage and moving about would be a problem for four people. The creek behind the cottage was a fast moving beautiful body of water with lots of wood ducks to watch and we greatly enjoyed evenings sitting on the creek. The Browns were wonderfully responsive to any need we had and want their vacationers to be trouble-free. My only real complaint would be lack of many television channels. All the major over-air networks were available but I usually view cable networks and missed them (especially Espn).

“A Spectacular Vacation” My husband and I enjoyed an awesome vacation at Retreat in the Sky. The views are priceless and the home is beautiful, cozy, clean, comfortable and artfully decorated. Not only did our vacation include rest and relaxation in a beautiful, peaceful setting, we also ventured out for some fun and adventure. We enjoyed tubing @ Deep Creek, golfing @ Smoky Mountain Golf Course, and some great dining in and about Bryson City. I only regret that we didn't have time for white water rafting and trying the zip lines. That's in the plan for our next trip Thank you Ty and Sandy for sharing your wonderful cabin and providing everything we needed for a great vacation. We've vacationed at many mountain cabins, but this cabin and experience was the best. We can't wait to come back.

“Our Wonderful visit to Trout House Falls” Thank you Jim, this was the most relaxing vacation I have ever had. Wonderfuly appointed home, great location and the trout were practically jumping out of the river! Great restaurant suggestions and things to do. We will be back and hopefully soon! “Repeats are so sweet!” This was our second fall trip to the Baker's cabin. It's works so well as a fun, family reunion home. Bruce & Marion have thought of just about everything. Since our family is food oriented we use their great kitchen as a gathering place where someone is always preparing their favorite dish or snack for all to try. The quaint living room was well used as a sports venue by day( huge flat screen w/NFL package) and a board game marathon hall at night. Bring your own or experiment with their inventory. Plenty of quiet, warm and comfortable bedrooms upstairs for those wonderful afternoon naps! I left the covered deck for last. Great hot tub, a Weber "turbo-charged grill and trout stream views that chase away all those demons you brought with you. Pour yourself two fingers of Maker's Mark, light up a Fuente and and listen to the water!
