“Simply perfect!” After spending our first two nights in a hotel in Bali we moved on to our booking at the Purnama. We are a blended family with two teenage girls and a ten year old boy. We stayed in a total of 3 different places while in Bali and we all voted Purnama our favourite. Purnama is at the end of a gang (alleyway) off the main road. We had a very warm greeting by Iluh the beautiful Balinese manager of this villa. She was very sweet and kind and very happy to make sure all our needs were accomadated. She even gave us a cell phone to use for local calls/ texts and with her number keyed in in case we needed her. The Villa has plenty of room with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We felt like we had plenty of space. The pool was divine and the kids didn't stay out of it for long. The location is perfect..Walk one way up the gang to the main road or down the other way to the beach. We loved Luna Spa down towards the beach and there is plenty of places to choose to eat. We never felt unsafe both in the Villa or the Gang at night. Cleaning was done daily, fresh towels and pool towels. Our ten year old enjoyed the large TV and DVD player. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend. We also thought would be a great place for three couples. Quiet, private but yet central to a good part of Legion. Thank you to Iluh (she is an asset to Purnama) and Coco. Thank you also Donna for making our booking easy.

“Best of Bali: stunning luxury villa, gracious people, impeccable” Villa Vajra is the most magical, unique, beautiful place I stayed during my three weeks in Indonesia. I looked at lots of different villas and stayed at several other places before checking into Villa Vajra. Nothing compared. It is truly a unique and spectacular estate that affords privacy, tranquility, serenity and luxury. From the moment my husband and I arrived, we found it hard to leave the villa. We loved the indoor-outdoor design of the estate; the outdoor living area and outdoor bathrooms were great. The grounds are stunning- the villa straddles the edge of the rice fields and the crest of a beautiful gorge above a river, with views of the other side of the valley. We loved wandering through the lovely gardens and enjoyed the yoga/meditation pavilion. The villa's location is close enough to Ubud to enjoy all it has to offer, and yet removed from the hustle and bustle (about a 10 minute drive or a beautiful, highly recommended walk). The staff really made the experience memorable. Gusti, the manager, was friendly and attentive. He arranged in-house massage and yoga, and drove us to Ubud daily. The meals prepared by Ketut and Made, the chefs, were the best I had during my entire time in Bali. We're both foodies and really enjoyed crafting custom menus based on organic produce and fresh fish. The fish curry steamed in banana leaves was one of the tastiest things I've ever had. And Saba (wonderful!) made awesome mojitos. The owners, Joel and Nirgrantha, are gracious hosts with a plethora of knowledge about the area and great recommendations. They live in another villa across the rice paddy with two very sweet Golden Retrievers. We are so glad to have gotten to know them a bit, and look forward to going back next time we're in Bali.

“Impressive” Stayed at Novatel Nusa Dua private residences for ten days with husband and two grandkids. The unit was perfect for our needs as the boys could still use the hotel facilities for swimming etc with the other families who also stayed at the Novatel. Only a 40 min drive into Kuta and an hour from Ubud so all in all a great location. The unit was spacious and above all very clean and well maintained... great job Andrea Would definitely recommend to anyone who has a family and finds it hard to rent rooms altogether. The plunge pool was great for my husband and myself but one word of advice is to always keep the mozzie coils burning day and night.

“Perfect Villa in perfect location” Recently spent 4 nights in this lovely villa. We were picked up from the airport by the villa's very friendly driver Sulee and dropped directly to the villa where we were greeted by the owner Bamboo and the housekeeper ayu who were both very welcoming. The villa was beautifully presented and equipped with everything we needed for our stay.Ayu came every morning and cooked us breakfast. The location was perfect, right in the heart of seminyak but very quiet surrounded by rice paddies. It also felt very secure at night and as 3 women we felt very safe coming and going. Thanks Bamboo for a fantastic stay, we will definitely be back.

“The real Bali” If you're going to Bali don't miss Ubud...and don't miss staying in Rumah Sawah Kita, a private villa in Penestanan a short walk from Ubud. The villa is exactly as described; beautifully decorated and comfortable with a beautiful garden including koi pond and a large deep pool that stays refreshingly cool. Every morning Wayan the lovely housekeeper prepares breakfast of fresh fruit, toast and strong coffee before making up your room and then leaving you to your privacy. We spent much of our time poolside with books, magazines and chilled beers. The location down a lane away from the main road is blissfully peaceful. Exploring the local area is best on foot along the zigzag lanes through the rice fields. Local galleries are full of interesting art for sale and the restaurants have delicious lunch and/or dinner. Ubud is a 20 minute walk (or short taxi ride) and there's plenty to see and get to learn about the local culture. If you have the time, try and see a Gamelan orchestra recital and also a Monkey Dance. Our hosts, Geoffrey and Michael, assisted with buying tickets to both. This was our second trip to Bali and won't be our last. Seminyak is great for the entertainment of bars and clubs. But our next trip will be back to stay again in Rumah Sawah Kita near Ubud, the real Bali.

“Beautiful villa and relaxed stay” This is a beautiful villa. Stunning during the day with superbly designed lighting at night especially in the huge garden. I've been to Bali many times and wanted to check out the quiet, north west and also have the opportunity for easy access to Menjangen Island. If you want to get away from the crazy commercial side of Bali, this is the place. The cook is excellent and will cook what ever you want - his chips/fries are fantastic as are his local Balinese dishes. There is a 'real' pool where you can swim lengths, a lovely bale to relax and in the evenings you can catch a movie in the well stocked living room. The bedroom design is excellent. Powerful aircon and dark night curtains so you can get a good sleep. Yes it's a long way from the south, but that's the point. Once you are here, you've got a villa, built and maintained to a high standard.

“Could not have been more perfect!” Our time with Sitara Villas was the most enjoyable and relaxing holiday imaginable. The Villa was stunning, kept so clean and tidy by the always available staff. The pool and outdoor area was the most beautiful and tropical scene to wake to every morning. The pool fence around the pool was a great touch and created a much more relaxed atmosphere with our 2 children! The staff were amazing, loved our kids and our kids are still missing them now, back in australia! Everybody, owners and staff were so warm and helpful and always available. Saying goodbye to them felt like saying goodbye to family after our 2 week stay! We are busy planning our next stay with Sitara Villas. Thank you Linda, Ash, Feni and the rest of the beautiful staff for such a perfect holiday

“Great location, amazing staff and well priced” Our family of 4 (2 adults 2 children under 5years) stayed at Hidden Garden Villa number 5 December 2012 and highly recommend it. The main attributes include its great location, very close to Padma Utara street and equally close to Legian Street. This made getting around really easy and mostly via foot. It was close to some action yet incredibly quiet. The staff that operate these Villas are just wonderful and very much the reason we loved it so much and why we would return. From the super quick airport exits to the delicious cooked breakfasts and clean premises as well as the 24/7 security there is nothing you can fault. The only aspect of discomfort was the smell from one of the bathrooms which didn't bother us really as two other outdoor bathrooms to easily use. The home decor was a little dated but everything practical and the small kitchen still delivered some spectacular breakfasts. For location, staff and price (especially given its 3 bedrooms) Hidden Garden villa number 5 was perfect for us. Thank you to Iluh, Made and Ketut who also offered us the opportunity to babysit (we paid as it was our request and we so appreciated it) you made our stay in Legian really special and the kids miss you and those banana pancakes a lot!!! Thanks to all staff

“Great Location, Price and Great Holiday in Bali!” We have been to Bali on several family holidays but never stayed at a villa before but always will from now on! We were picked up at the airport and then greeted by Kadek the staff at the villa even though after midnight with welcome drinks and a couple of things we requested waiting for us! The villa was really comfortable and much less than other villas which was important for us for a holiday on a budget. The kids loved the pool and the villa was well equipped with everything we needed. Kadek the housekeeper was great and always had everything clean even if the kids made a mess! Steve the owner helped out by making everything easy and organising some drivers and tours which we very recommend Wayan for as he was brilliant! Thanks so much also for the gift for our childrens birthday it made it a special birthday in Bali for Emily :) See you all again soon!
