“Best place we have stayed” This house was absolutely beautiful!! We hate to even give it a review, then it will be hard for us to rent again. It was cool weather some days and the pool still heated. The house was immaculate and well furnished and very updated. It was a quiet neighborhood and more upscale than most areas. We would love to stay again but already it has been taken for next March.

“A slice of Heaven on Earth!” Our daughter found Sunset Dreams and picked it for her graduation present. We rented for one week in august and from the moment we opened the front door, we could not believe this was "our place" for the week! This was our third time visiting Sanibel-Captiva but a first for our daughter's friends and our grand-daughter. The house was absolutely perfect! It was plenty of room the 7 of us (four girls ranging 18-20). We made several meals at home in the state-of-the-art kitchen. A short walk on the beach led us to the Mucky Duck Pub, where you could find rentals for parasailing, wave runners, bikes, mopeds, etc or just grab a drink or bite to eat. Every night, we were in awe of the sunsets that were right in front of our house. On our very last night, dolphins were putting on a show right in the same spot we were swimming that very day. My husband and I had our date night and ate at The Mad Hatter. The food was excellent and our waitress was very pleasant. We went on a dolphin cruise, shopped, visited the lighthouse, found beautiful shells that we brought home, and best of all, had a wonderful time making memories with our family. Thank you Sunset Dreams for making our vacation well worth the wait! We will definitely be back!!!

“We've stayed here several times - it's always wonderful” We have visited many places in the southern climate and stayed at motels, trailers, & resorts. This was our first house. The house was perfect, the pool was perfect, the location was perfect. We felt so at peace there that we didn't want to leave even for grocery shopping. We have decided that we want to retire close to there. We felt so strongly about it that we roused ourselves long enough to go and look at a couple places that were for sale. We discussed while we were there, (floating around in the pool), and on the way home, the goals we have to set toward that end. We have since decided that the feelings of peace we felt while there are what we want when we retire. The home seemed to us to be so attached to nature, the way the sliding doors open all the way & disappear into the walls, it really connected the inside with the outside. The breeze was most phenomenal, the way it swirled around the house all the time. We loved the view from the back of the house; the palm trees, the pool water followed by the canal water, the high ceilings, the fans, the quietness of the neighborhood. Also, the house has been made very comfortable, the furniture they have couldn't have suited us any better! There was nothing more we could have asked for. So, the week we spent at this house has given us a clear picture of what we want for the rest of our lives, that should say it all. It was always a pleasure dealing with Bob & Elayne and we hope to deal with them again. 4/27/2011: We've stayed at this house several more times, took our 2 grandchildren for 2 weeks. Bob's very helpful w/any problems like getting the internet to work with our computer or making the pool water warmer. That's the only "problems" we've ever had. Our vacations are always wonderful here, the house is equipped with everything we need and much more. The location is perfect, the ocean breeze is perfect...gosh, I'm ready to go again just thinking about it! Barb

“Beautiful house and your own boat! It doesn’t get much better” Before arrival, we found the Bayside website very informative with useful links. It told us a lot about the property, the area and importantly the boat.Not many properties come with a boat and this was very attractive. Renting a boat independently is both more expensive and complicated. The whole reservation and payment process was easy. The house is tastefully decorated and has 3 lovely bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, dining room, kitchen and a comfortable lounge which are all very clean and well appointed. Tom provides a very helpful folder of instructions which came in handy when we wanted to listen to music out by the pool. It was particularly helpful to have all linens, towels, paper goods, trash bags provided. The pool area was great with 2 loungers and a table which seats 4 in the shade. The pool itself was in good condition, very clean and regularly maintained. We spent all our time at home by the pool and barely used the living areas of the house. Books and Board games are provided and also beach chairs and a cooler for your trips to the beach. There is a wealth of leaflets and maps in the house providing ideas for days out. The boat was a huge success, helped by the valuable instruction by the coast guard captain.Docking on to the lift became easier with practice. We ate at Rib City a couple of times and had a nice take out from the Chinese restaurant nearby which was fine. We drove to Marker 92 restaurant one night which had a great atmosphere and some good food. We found the house very comfortable and peaceful which was just what we had wanted. The bathrooms were great and came fully stocked with shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and liquid soaps. We slept soundly in the master bedroom. Beware the gardener comes at around 7 am on Wednesdays! Painful after sitting up until 3am the first Tuesday putting the world to rights and drinking far too much wine. We would stay here again.
