I have rented Villa Rioca twice and booked up for a third time while I was still on holiday.
If that doesn't say something about this Villa then let me expand.
The Villa is in a peaceful location and is gained via a narrow tarmac lane meandering uphill from Coral Bay. Drive carefully.
I can vouch for the fact that the agent responsible for the property is friendly and VERY efficient, so should you encounter a problem - no worries, just pick up the phone.
The Villa is clean, well maintained and well stocked. Should you wish to take advantage of the BBQ and outside dining area, you will find the kitchen comprehensively stocked with pots, pans and utensils. A large Fridge with ice making capability keeps everything nice and cool. Flyscreens on all doors and windows ensure that the insect population doesn't mar your stay.
The gardens (my favourite aspect of the Villa) are beautiful, well maintained and can be enjoyed from a seating area under the Gazebo. The pool terrace is spacious and the coast view is lovely. A car is recommended in order to access the local restaurants, supermarkets, beaches etc.
I walked from the Villa into Coral Bay and back at night; the round trip takes two hours if you're in good health and reasonably fit but the road is steep, poorly lit and the pavement is only intermittent. A small pocket torch is definitely recommended.
For the adventurous, I can vouch for some rugged walking in the local area and the wild life is varied and interesting. A herd of Goats visits regularly so keep the gates closed!
Driving into Coral Bay takes ten minutes, Paphos is twenty minutes and the Airport is approximately 30 minutes away.
All in all a very pleasant property in a quiet location but close enough to Coral Bay not to feel isolated.
