“An amazing cabin in the beautiful Kentucky woods” Even tho our arrival was later than expected, the owner,Larry, met us and guided us to the cabin. Very friendly and helpful, as it was our first time in Kentucky; The cabin was beautiful, very clean, cleaner than some 3 and 4 star hotels I have stayed in, and had every amenity you could think of. They even provided a two page list of restaurants, take out, grocery stores, etc as well as sights to see and things to do. We were driving an all wheel vehicle and had no problem with the road. Loved it, would defininitly return if we get the chance to visit Kentucky again.

“Woolly Worm Festival Lodging” Cabins was exactly as photos showed. Relatively easy to find. Owners were very nice and responsive. Unit we stayed in would be accessible by car also. Bed was comfortable and cabin was quiet and everything worked. If you are taller than 5'10" watch your head walking in and you may struggle with the shower head being so low. It's just the way the cabin is built. Other tips. Bring an extra pillow. The ones provided were fine but it was only two. There is not a dresser or luggage stand in the cabin. So the suitcase will need to sit on the chair or floor during your stay. I was completely happy with our stay and plan to return.

“Peaceful and relaxing” I wasn't sure about this cabin until I got there, saw ot and spoke to the owner. It was an amazing weekend stay. Greg met me at the main road to ensure I got where I was going. He even walked the grounds and cabin with me so I knew how everything operated before I signed the final paperwork. He told some pretty amazing stories and was very attentive to any needs or questions. The river ran behind the property and there is opportunity to rent canoes, kayaks, a house boat or a pontoon! The driveway absolutely requires a 4 wheel drive to this property! I went to relax, get back to nature and enjoy some time in Hollerwood Park. This property was absolutely perfect and I had a blast! If you are looking for rustic and a little primitive this is the place to go! I absolutely will be back, possibly every month! Again Greg and Peggy are the best rental property owners I have ever run across. Greg makes you feel welcome, safe and right at home!

“perfect getaway -- truly home away from home” My husband, our dog, and I are repeat visitors to Big Rock Log cabin. We have gone at least once a year since 2008 and all our stays at this warm, charming cabin have been uniquely different, but perfect in every way. The cabin itself is remarkable -- beautiful craftsmanship, amazing outsider and folk art collection, comfortable furnishings, and it's extremely well-appointed. Outside, the property and environs are like the entire Red River Gorge encapsulated. The beautiful woods and the wildlife can be experienced and enjoyed from the spacious wrap around porch/deck -- covered on the front, open on the side. And just a few steps away is an impressive natural rock shelter with an awesome fire pit. Often there is wood available for burning. We love Big Rock's proximity to hiking trails in both the Natural Bridge State Park and the RRG. We love that Big Rock is dog-friendly (but you would never suspect any dog has ever been there before, the place is so impeccable. But I think what I love the most is how much we feel at home at Big Rock.
