“a gem” We were tempted to write a bad review to preserve this gem so we could get a future reservation. But in all fairness we can't do that. This cottage is a gem in a great location.It is cozy but we had sufficient room. The lack of a stove was no problem as we did not go on vacation to cook. There are too many really good restaurants within walking distance to waste time inside. We are both gardeners and the yards blew us away. Dave and Jackie have done a great job of planting and creating a restful area. The Koi pond is a nice touch. The host Dave and Jackie are like long time friends right from the beginning. The beach is very close but we preferred to spend time in the back yard. There are photos on the web site but they can not do justice to the reality. I tried a video and that is not good enough. We enjoyed the sound of the waterfall in the Koi pond day and night. We are long time canoeists and it reminded us of camping on the river bank.
