“A Great Getaway!” We have stayed in this cottage on numerous occasions over the past couple summers and can't wait to come back again! The owners are very nice and have done an excellent job of updating and maintaining the property over the years without losing any of the charm of a traditional log cabin! The bedrooms are all very comfortable, making you feel right at home. The bathroom is also large, bright, and fully updated. The open concept living/kitchen space is great for the entire family and furnished with comfortable couches and chairs - perfect for nights in watching a movie or playing a board game! One of the top reasons we love this cabin, however, is its location. Nestled into the evergreen forest hills overlooking Boothbay, you have plenty of privacy and serenity but with the convenience of being only minutes from town. It is just a short walk from downtown Boothbay (perhaps ten or fifteen minutes tops). If you have never been to Boothbay there is only one word to describe it - quaint! It is one of my favorite places to visit; full of great little restaurants, charming shops, and friendly people. The cottage is also just a short drive from many of the area's best hiking trails and outdoor activities as well as a number of other small towns that make for fun day trips. I really can't recommend this cabin enough! We've told a number of our friends about it and are already planning another trip for later this summer. It's perfect for families with kids of all ages or couples just looking for a quiet getaway!
