“Lovely apartment, Loved El Gouna” I stayed here for 4 nights in the middle of May. The owner was very accommodating to my needs. Communication was good and easy, and everything completed in an efficient and professional way. We were able to send immediate payment direct to the owner's Egyptian bank account, and the deposit by Paypal a few days before we arrived. The deposit was returned promptly within 7 days. The apartment itself is very well equipped, and comfortable. There are two large bedrooms, two very reasonable bathrooms, and a large open plan living, dining and kitchen area, plus a beautiful terrace. It has been furnished to a high standard and has everything you need. It's located in the new marina which is about 10 minutes walk from the abu Tig Marina. It is quite quiet at night as this area is almost all residential, which is nice as there are no problems sleeping but you are still very close to everything. We walked most of the time but were easily able to find a passing Tok Tok if needed. In general the apartment was perfect for our needs, and was of a very high standard, especially compared to other properties of the same cost. I would definitely stay here again. Try to research El Gouna before you go- download the El Gouna service guide and if you choose to not have the pre-arrival grocery service then pick up some basics on the way - this isn't a hotel and you have to find your own way. There is a good info centre in Tamr Henna Square with maps etc. There was no internet in the apartment as advertised, but we didn't need it as we have 3G modems so it wasn't a problem. Interhome - the management company - are good but a bit pricey. As I was arriving after hours I had to get their taxi service in order to get the key. At 25euros this is much higher than the going rate. Also their charges for linen and cleaning could mount up if you're staying for a longer period of time - but for us it wasn't a problem as we were only there a few days. :-)
