“Relaxing stay in the north woods” Rick's beautiful cabin in the woods was the perfect holiday getaway for us. We hunkered down over a few brutally cold days and simply snuggled up, read books, watched movies and loved every second of it. We also took out the snowshoes and were amazed at the beautiful sights and sounds surrounding the cabin area. We were able to snowshoe through a few feet of snow with ease and had a blast doing so. The cabin's interior was recently renovated and is absolutely gorgeous; with easy to use tech gear and gadgets we were absolutely set for an amazing stay! Highly recommended.

“Lakeside home a pristine place to stay!” We booked this lakehouse as a quiet retreat for the family and it proved to be the perfect place to unwind. The view of the lake, manicured lawn and blooming flowers on the deck and in the yard provided a beautiful setting. The owners did a fantastic job giving us a clean, well equipped, roomy, all amenity home. We enjoyed using the bar-b-que pit nightly and apprecitated the fresh firewood provided so we could have a camp fire in the fire pit down by the lake at night! This house was truly a home away from home. Restaraunts and shopping in nearby towns were easy to find and not too far to travel. Thanks for the memory that will last a life time!

“Enjoyed visit immensely.” 8 year old granddaughter cried when time to leave. Asked if we could come again next year. Clean. Great for dogs, fishing with children. Not too far from the Dells. Will definitely want to return next year.

“A very relaxing and beautiful place.” The owners are very organized and friendly. Our cabin was very relaxing with great scenery and all the amenities of home plus more. The large deck was very nice with lots of seating, the hot tub, and outside stereo speakers. The location is tucked back in a beautiful secluded area. The directions they provided were easy to follow. We look forward to our next visit so we can enjoy fishing in the lake. The weather wasn't very cooperative (rainy) but it was still a perfect place to rest, relax and enjoy a good book!

“The best place to get away from life's craziness!!!” My husband and I chose Haven to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary. It was perfect for reconnecting and getting away from our busy city lives! The house was perfect. The leaves were at peak colors which only added to this beautiful location! The rowboat and walking trail was a great touch and we enjoyed being outdoors in the peaceful environment. And after a busy day of relaxing and doing nothing, you can melt away any remaining cares in the hot tub! Definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for beauty and peace!!

“Cozy Winter Lakeside Haven” This cabin was just charming. Easy access with a remote feel The owner was awesome - very easy to work with. Family pride in history and ownership shines through the eccentric decor pieces strewn throughout, and written explanation "Chronicles of the Cabin". This home was perfect for a group of 5 of us travelling to participate in the nearby american Birkebeiner. I would say this cabin can comfortably accomodate 5-6 in winter, more in the summer with use of the downstairs area. A plus was 1)use of the basement/laundry room as our ski preparation workroom, 2) having access to a washer and dryer if needed, 3) plenty of games. Tv ( went unused) was in one bedroom. Plenty of cutlery, eating utensils, coffeemaker. One potential drawback (esp. in winter) is that the one shower is in the basement, with indoor access by spiral staircase - likely not easy for a large or mobility-challenged person. We enjoyed watching nuthatches, chickadees, bluejays and a pileated woodpecker from indoors and saw many deer tracks outdoors. Would love to see local wildlife there on a summer morning or evening. All in all, perfect for our group.

“A winter wonderland in spring” This was the first time we took our spring vacation north of Chicagoland. We had expected cold temperature in Tomah (a 4 hours drive north) but not snow covered landscapes and a frozen lake in spring! The Serenity House was nice and clean and the owner was friendly. Internet connection inside the house was weak but this gave us a distraction free vacation. The trail was snow covered but our kids did their morning jog on a quiet country road. The fire pit had a few inches of ice but there was no problem in setting up an evening campfire. We turned the snow covered landscape into a large screen for a slide-snow (slideshow). The lake was frozen and our kids built a snow man and Teepee on it. (Caution: we pounded the lake surface with heavy duty monopods to make sure it was stable before we walked on it). We skipped most tourist traps in the Wisconsin Dells area and visited Dr. Evermor's Forevertron on Hwy 12. You don't find many places like this Junk-Art wonderland in the world. We also visited the Necedah National Wildlife Refuge near the resort. The refuge is a wonderful place to explore nature in summer and fall but it was muddy in spring. The staffs at the visitor center were very friendly and we checked out snowshoes to hike a ski trail. That was another wonderful experience. Stay in the Wisconsin Dells area if you are looking for typical waterparks or packaged entertainments. The Birch Lake Resort is for nature lovers. Come with a creative spirit to enjoy this place.

“At the Lake House - a dream” My family stated there for a week in June. The hosts Mary and andy are lovely people. They are there to help you make the most of your family vacation. We rented the upstairs which had two rooms and an adjoining living room and kitchen. The room are beautifully decorated, the neds were very comfortable and the living room has a great balcony. The views of the lake are breathtaking. It is very quiet and serene. If you want shopping of the Ciry of Lake Geneva, it is a short 10 minute ride. Make sure to eat at Freddy's on Friday night for fishfry.

“Perfect first impressions, when class and cleanliness is importa” I've stayed at Monarch Valley twice now, it didn't take long to become another member of the group. I have been to quite a few hunting lodges and like businesses in the past, Monarch Valleys approach is nothing but first class.

“Spacious place for family reunion!” Devil's Lodge was a perfect place for our family reunion during a long weekend in early October 2013. We were there for three nights and it was a relaxing getaway. There were 12 of us and the Lodge is so spacious that no one felt crowded. Tom and Iwona were perfect hosts. Iwona met us upon arrival and gave us a quick tour and both were friendly and accommodating. Pros: - Five bedrooms each with comfortable king size beds. The master bedroom has a large linen closet that served as the baby's sleeping room, which made it perfect for noise reduction. - Two great rooms, one on the ground floor and one on the second floor. This allowed everyone to spread out if they needed some quiet space, yet it accommodated all of us to be together for game night. - A very large kitchen and a super spacious island for serving up buffet style meals. - Excellent location to Devil's Lake. - Entertainment center - two huge flat screen TVs, a whole house sound system for music, a fantastic bar and seats on the second floor. - A 3/4 wrap around porch with chairs and tables for outdoor enjoyment. - A fire pit outside for an evening around the campfire and more games. - The Devil's Lodge is very clean, and move-in ready. Cons: - The main road can be noisy and at times busy. - There is nothing much within walking distance. You will need to drive most places. If you're looking for quiet, secluded, wooded, and pristine, the Devil's Lodge is not located in such an area. We would rent from Tom and Iowna again! It was completely enjoyable for our family gathering.
