“An idyllic retreat in the Sussex Downs” Ann, my wife, and I have just spent a splendid week staying at The Roost in the charming village of Amberley in West Sussex. The accommodation is perfect for a couple: comfortable & cosy and with all the amenities you're likely to require. The owners, Sandie & Geoff, live next door and are very friendly & helpful without being intrusive in any way. There is an excellent pub, The Black Horse, about 200 metres up the road whose food is gastropub standard but not pretentious e.g a home made steak and ale pie was superb. Altogether, we had a great week and we thoroughly recommend The Roost to any couple looking for a stress-free comfortable break.

“Absolutely perfect holiday home” First of all I would like to thank the owner of the holiday home for making the booking so easy and straightforward, emails were answered quickly and clearly. Secondly, the house was just perfect, it had everything we needed. We loved the garden for a safe place for the children to play and for the adults to relax and sunbathe on the deckchairs. The location of the property is fantastic, the beach is on the doorstep and we were so pleased to discover an area of green grass with a children's playground 2 minutes away. Inside the house everything was clean and kitchen was well equipped. We loved the two sitting rooms, so there was plenty of place for everyone to sit and the sky tv was a big bonus. All in all, would definitely recommend to families with children and for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday. Finally, would like to say that Karen the house manager is really friendly and helpful and definitely helped to make us feel that we were being looked after and if we would have any problems we had someone close by to sort it out.

“Wonderful long weekend” We had a wonderful 4 night stay in the shepherd’s hut - Sue & Tim have thought of just about everything to make your stay enjoyable. The hut is beautifully kitted out with its own outdoor space plus a lovely large garden where visitors dogs can have a run. The welcome cookies and decanter of sherry were much appreciated too! Would highly recommend.

“A marvellous & Magical Halloween Break” Everything about our stay was perfect from Alicia's greeting on our arrival to being waved off as we left. The huts are decorated to a high standard, with quality fittings and fixtures throughout as well as extremely comfortable beds and high quality linen. There is something truly magical about the place, and it's not just the evidence of fairies in the garden! Alicia and Phil have paid huge attention to making sure guests have a wonderful experience, from twinkling lights in the garden and trees to cosy blankets around the log burner. I would recommend the farm produce too, particularly the delicious sausages. Both our children ( ages 12 and 7) loved the whole adventure of sleeping in the shepherds hut and were free to roam the large garden outside. All in all a perfect pre Halloween break. Thank you

“Lovely weekend” We chose Coachman's Cottage because of location and the reviews - we were not disappointed by either. Located in Westbourne, only 1.5 miles from the coast, the whole area is easily reached. The cottage is immaculate and has everything you could want ; the fresh milk and bread on arrival was a lovely touch. The bed is comfy, great shower, big fluffy towels, well stocked kitchen : Sandra had thought of everything! We have already recommended the Coachman's Cottage to friends and family and hope to be back soon! Thank you Sandra for a lovely weekend., Karen and Stuart

“Excellent cottage for a couple” Mill Cottage was a beautiful little cottage. Very clean with good facilities. a conformable living room, great bathroom, kitchen and bedroom. I would highly recommend this cottage to a couple that would like to stay in the area. The owners left tea and coffee and even bought some milk so that we could have a drink when we arrived

“Lovely spacious well equipped holiday home.” A fantastic holiday rental that have everything you could possibly need whilst away in beautiful Selsey. Lovely spacious place with lovely people and very dog friendly. The owners are great very accommodating and have equipped their home to cater from very young child to the more mature person. Enjoy early morning beach walks or just relax in the garden summer house in the evening. Loads of historical places to visit crazy golf and aqua park nearby too also Brighton Portsmouth and Bognor only a short distance away. Once you’ve visited selsey you will fall in love with the place and not want to leave. Will defo be booking another break here very soon.
