“Nicest cottage we've ever stayed in!” We stayed the last week of Jan 2013, the cottage was really warm and cosy, from the minute we walked in the door, it felt so homely you could live there, the cottage was spotless and well presented, David and Lynda are wonderful people, very welcoming and friendly.
We had snow, hail, rain and gale force winds but we were never cold the log burner was brilliant along with the oil fired heating.
Having use of the broadband meant we could keep in touch with my family from the ipad
The kitchen was equipped with all the utensils and nick naks that you would ever need and the welcome pack of organic fruit, eggs, milk and a bottle of wine was awesome.
The cottage is located in a stunning part of Scotland with views out over the loch and the hills.
Only thing I will point out is that part of the approach track through the farm is a bit bumpy, as it is an unmade road, but the owners are in discussion to get this rectified soon.
We really enjoyed our stay, in fact so much we booked to return in September.
thank you David and Lynda for a wonderful holiday.
“Peaceful garden setting” Jenny and Steve couldn't have been nicer. The flat has everything you need to make for a comfortable stay. I especially enjoyed having Alfie the cat as a temporary pet! Private and convenient at the same time. Would recommend a car if staying longer than a week as the walk into town is a bit steep coming back, but made for a lovely way to take in the rural setting. Would absolutely recommend to friends and family traveling through Scotland.
“Best value for money in the UK” We thoroughly enjoyed our time. The cottage is well equiped and everything worked perfectly. It is close to the city, but rural and a good place to use as a base or just to relax in a nice rural environment.
