“Don't read this” Internet reviews are a double-edged sword: on one side we want to rave about Cliffside cottage in Surf Side Colony because it is a 60's gem lovingly restored and updated without losing sight of the original "cottage" appeal, and on the other we want to keep it a secret, all to ourselves. Armand and Lisa warned us about the danger of staying there and perhaps becoming honorary "Cape Codders." We needed no warning. We've been staying at the Colony since 1961, and the family that now owns Cliffside has succeeded in bringing us back to those wonderful, sand-filled early years of beaches and wood fires and striped bass and shells, when things seemed easier, and a rainy-day trip to shop in Orleans was magical. We'll be back next year, and don't even think about renting for our weeks. Take whatever time you can get of this cottage. We promise, you'll come back. The Longhi Family October 2010

“Rejuvinating - A Nature Lover's Paradise” What an absolutely heavenly October vacation. Private, cozy with awe inspiring views. The bird watching was phenomenal. As a descendant of the Nauset Tribe I felt more connected to my heritage than ever particularly on what seemed to be never ending walks around the sanctuary. We will most definitely be back. Thank you Drew!

“Summer 2010 at Surfside” A great time...was the perfect place for our Family and Friends to gather and spend time together. Thanks to armand, booking and checking in was a pleasure also. Appreciate the efficiency with which he and his spouse manage the place. We really love the proximity to the beach. We are looking forward to our stay in July 2011!

“Great location and amenities” This cottage is located in a great location with steps away from one of the nicest beaches in Cape cod. It locates in the "center" of "vacation actions" with eateries, bike trails, and stores - and relatively short drive to different parts of Cape Cod. The cottage itself appears dated but the amenities are 21st century - with Direct TV, plasma screen, new appliance, gas out-door, grill - really helps to get the kids and adults "busy" at night. The only draw-back is lack of internet / Wifi access - otherwise it would be a perfect 21st type vacation house. Lastly, the management company is professional, responsive, and helpful. We appreciated the services and attention.
“Perfect Cape Cod Vacation Location” We've stayed at Surfside Cottages many time, but this was the first time in the Piney Ridge cottage. This cottage reminded me of the many pleasant times that I spent in Cape Cod when I was growing up. Piney Ridge maintains the simple classic Cape cottage, with knotty pine walls, three bedrooms, a living room with fireplace, on the National Seashore ( minutes walk from the beach in a relaxed and quiet setting. The cottage was clean and check-in and check-out were a snap. The bathroom is upgraded with skylight in the shower. The kitchen had all of the utensils, pots, pans, and dishes one would need for a relaxed stay with simple but elegant meals.

“Awesome stay at a Quaint Cottage” The location is outstanding. Literally 2 minute walk to the beach. I can see this would be an excellent summer rental. We like to go off-season so we can bring our dogs and for the solitude. Awesome place to bring families with kids and pets. This would also be an excellent place for a romantic/couples vacation. The service was outstanding. Armand & Lisa were always available to help/take a call, but totally not intrusive. So service gets an a+. The home was so cozy. We loved the fireplace and the wood interior. We made a fire each night. There is a flat screen TV with Direct HD TV, which was great, but we really didn't need it. We loved having a full kitchen with all the cookware, etc. Bedrooms were cozy. No complaints. (The lighting in the bedrooms is very dim - so those would have problem with that, we didn't, may not like so much.) Ample closet space, etc. The only thing we didn't love was the water pressure in the shower, but that was really negligible, and may not be something that can be helped. And the only other thing was the couch & chairs in the living room, they were more suited for outdoor furniture, but again negligible. Perhaps a table out on the porch area would be nice. But again, these things were no big deal, just suggestions. So, home for us gets an a. You cannot beat the location, proximity to the most beautiful ocean on the Cape and right in the middle of the Cape, across from Welfleet. You can go to Ptown or Orleans / Brewster very quickly (well in the off-season). Plus, close to bike trails. I really can't say enough good things about our stay. Please feel free to contact me with any further questions. Loved being in the middle of this natural area. So many birds and things to look at. We would definitely highly recommend based on property, service, and location. We plan to return in the fall or spring (so we can bring the dogs again).

“delightful” 4 of us spent a delightful two weeks at Black Fish Creek Cottage. The location on a small hill under the pines was wonderfully quiet yet convenient to beaches, summer theatre and many good restaurants. We especially appreciated the excellent kitchen, deck and outdoor shower. The cottage is cozy and comfortable when it rains with excellent TV and radio connections as well. Armand and Lisa of Surfside were instantly responsive to any questions or needs which were few.
