“Privacy, peace and rustic comfort” We stayed at Dirty Face Lodge as a group of 25, 12 kids and 13 adults for the week-end. The place was perfect for our group, with plenty of bedrooms, towels both for the bathroom/shower and for the hot tub, nice accommodations in both the main house and the guest house. The bed that I slept in was very comfortable! There isn't much sound insulation between floors, but it's a great rustic and comfortable place for a stay. Being able to use the fireplace in the evening was a nice perk as well.
Several of us went bicycling with the kids right from the front yard, others walked the quiet neighborhood. Within minutes drive, we spent time in the sun on the beach at the South Entrance of the park. And with a 15 min drive, we reached the parking to go on an easy hike with the kids to hidden lake to view the beautiful Fall colors.
The kitchen is very well appointed which allowed us to cook every meal easily and run the dishwasher afterwards.
We used the hot tub in turns, both kids and adults and that was a very nice treat!
All in all, a great place, easy to find and located in a beautiful area. I highly recommend it for families and groups of friends.
“Lovely Retreat Space” Whether you want to organize a personal or group retreat, gather the family for a vacation, or spend a romantic wknd with your partner- this vacation home accommodates all. Living and dining spaces have gigantic picture windows with expansive views of Holmes Harbor and the mountains behind them. You can spend hours on the desk watching the tides coming and going, eagles being chased by ravens, or bask in the sun. It only takes a few steps to cross the lawn and you are on the beach, from which you can launch your boat, or collect sand dollars and shells. Oh, and before I forget: the house also comes with an extensive CD collection with selections from all genres-- and you can turn up the music and dance and sing to your heart's content.
We had a soulful retreat at "Baby Beach" and left tons of good energy behind !
“Amazing Cabin” We had such a great time staying at the log cabin in Plain, Wa. Snow was on the ground and the temps hovered around 10 degrees for the weekend. The gas woodstove kept us warm and the views were amazing. The cabin has everything you need and was decorated for Christmas. We have already talked about coming back this winter and will recommend to friends and family.
“A Gem in Chimacum” You will find a very quiet, peaceful, and picturesque setting for your stay in the Valley at Chimacum Ridge Lodge with welcoming, attentive hosts. They have created a wonderful private, spacious, and very comfortable accommodation for their guests with plenty of ambience and charm. It is a great location from which to take day excursions such as a ferry ride to Whidbey Island, walk along the historic Water Street, and dine at the popular AJAX Cafe in Port Hadlock and the waterfront Inn at Port Ludlow. This well-maintained property is the perfect place to unpack your bags for several days, relax, and enjoy the lovely views and sights that will long be remembered!
