I could name all things that I have done in a week's stay at this perfect newly renovated stone house, yet I warmly recommend you book it, and once there, talk to the most hospitable owners that will guide you through events and attractions of the region as well as offer you home wine and other amenities from their garden.
Variety of activities span from visits to local wine producers, lavanda, salvia and olive farms to cycling, trekking or simple seaside leisure. For a perfect home dinner just use the veggies growing in house garden at your full disposal. Owner's hospitality is unmatchable. Fish and meat at local markets are a trademark of freshness and taste.
Seaside is 20min car ride away. I suggest you use small wild beaches and stay away from large public ones.
If you travel there in August and September there are numerous local festivities with fish and local foods organised each time in a different small town at half an hour reach. Again talk to the owner's for info and dip into the local atmosphere at will.
In week's time we travelled to 3 agritourisms closeby that served delicious truffles with simple homemade dishes. All veggies are homegrown. All wine and liquors, too.

As first time visitors of Istria, we were looking for a pleasant retreat in a quiet area, nearby the highlights of this part of Croatia. I think we found it! Villa Imagine, situated on the outskirts of Visnjan is just a few minutes from the centre of Visnjan, where you can find restaurants, village shops, the all important cashmachine and not to forget the excellent bakery, with its daily fresh produce and very tasteful indeed. The Villa distinguishes itself by much attention to detail.
