“Venice- Over and above” Our one week stay at altana was a Dream Come True. Breathtaking 360 degree views from the rooftop patio, the sights and sounds of the Gondolas passing below, and the splendor and spaciousness of the apartment all contributed to a wonderful visit to Venice. The location was especially great, being so close to San Marco, the center of everything, while secluded enough to get away from the throngs. The apartment was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook meals, wash & dry our clothes, and plan our adventures each day. It was Truly as if we were full time residents! The only thing we didn't figure out until the very last moment was that we didn't need a key to open the street level door from the inside.

“Awesome location !” We stayed in the alba DÓro in Nov.2012. The rental company, Truly Venice, were excellent from the minute we booked until the minute we left Venice. They organised everything for our water taxi bookings to and from the airport, and the taxis were always on time, with an excellent service. This is the best way to go as the taxi drops you right at the door, so no need to carry the luggage too far.The apartment was fantastic, close to the vaporetto, Rialto Market, local shops and Rialto Bridge. Truly Venice did everything they said they would. The apartment had everything we could ever ask for. The only downside was that the TV had not one English-speaking channel, but then who cares when you are in such a beautiful city such as Venice. The views of the Grand Canal from the apartment were wonderful. The apartment is directly across the GC from Ca DÓro vaporetto stop, and only a 2 minute walk to the Rialto Market vaporetto stop. The vaporettos are so easy to use, especially if you buy a 7 day pass as we did. Having the market so close was awesome...we lived like the locals, buying fresh food every day to cook for dinner. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone, but it is only a one-bedroom apartment so obviously not suitable if you have children, or if there is more than one couple. I would most definitely only ever stay at this apartment whenever I return to Venice in the future. I would have no hesitation in using another apartment managed by Truly Venice again, if this apartment is not available...their professionalism was excellent.

“A beautiful apartment close to all that Venice has to offer and” We were greeted well on our arrival with a detailed tour of the amenities of this fabulous apartment. We enjoyed the two terraces which allowed us to partake in evening apperitifs and breakfast prepared from the well stocked kitchen. The apartment was tastefully furnished with beautiful art on the walls. We were 5 mins from the vaporetto stop and a 15min gentle stroll along beautiful side streets to the alilaguna airport transfer. We adored the views down the canal infront of the front balcony and it was charming to watch the gentle happenings of daily life of the Venetians from there

“magical” We loved Contarini - the location and the property. Our two children were able to share the downstairs double bed, but two adults would not have fit! So, unfortunately we won't be able to rent this property again when they have grown larger! I think it should be marketed as for three people, not four. Otherwise, it is perfect: characterful, practical, easy to get to and near some of the best restaurants and sights. Could not have hoped for more.

“Mind blowingly marvellous.” You swoosh up to Dogaressa in a water taxi driven by adorable David, and the miracle unfolds! The apartment is bliss, our welcoming Letitia could not have been more helpful.She found us a heavenly maid Maria and she patiently answered all our questions and filled our map with helpful locations, markets, restaurants and travel suggestions..Beds were all beautifully made up and the location is breath taking.Imagine opening your windows onto a South facing little cushion filled terrace, with one of Venice's most beautiful churches, St Maria della Salute, right opposite, and sleeping with the sound of the waters of The Grand Canal lapping on the gondoliers outside!Just incredible. Great travel company and great holiday for all our family. Cannot recommend more highly.

“A beautiful apartment with a lot of space in a very nice Venetia” The apartment is incredible, a lot of space, three bedrooms, two badrooms, three balconies..Decorated in an elegant and beautiful way, that makes you feel at home immediately. The fact that it has an elevator that stops in your apartment, makes it very special for Venice! The vaporettostop St Stae of linea 1 is very closeby, and in the area are a lot of nice special shops and restaurants, that serve good food. The art museum Ca Pesaro is just around the corner. We loved the apartment and would definitely recommand it!
