“A Truly Rome Experience.” Small but sweet studio in a residential area and very convenient for the transport links by train and bus.Useful lift. The studio was spotlessly clean and pleasantly decorated and having the balcony area was a bonus. Also the kingsize bed was so comfortable which was welcome after a long day sightseing. Although residential it was a very quiet area and we enjoyed feeling part of the ordinary Rome life.Silvia and her family were very helpful and informative before and during our stay. Easy walks to all the sights and Toni's bar at the end of the street is a must.Train back to Fiumcino airport was very easy from San Pietro. A wonderful holiday. Will be back next year

Nicely located and Giovanna was there to greet us and explain things to us when we arrived. She also helped us with transport from and to airport. It should be noted that there is stairs. Something that could pose a problem for some. Always felt very safe. One word about taxi drivers, never get into a taxi without them giving you a solid quote. If they start with depends on traffic or any other mishmash, find another taxi. 50/50 chance you'll get an honest taxi driver in Rome. Otherwise we love Rome! … see more

The apartment is in best position for sightseeing in Rome. We had an perfect stay. The bed was very comfortable and there are all necessary equipment (fritch, washingmachine, W-LAN and so on) in the apartment as one needs. Sylvia and her sister are very helpful in all issues. Wonderful Apartment, Location and Hospitality

Brilliant was what we all said about our holiday to Rome! There was only one review for Chiara’s apartment but we felt we should take a gamble as the review was full of praise. Wow, me, my wife, and our six and ten year olds are so glad we did. Our plane was late into Fiumicino airport and the SIT bus was full so we had to wait a further hour before leaving for Rome. However, I had received a phone call from Chiara’s father on landing welcoming us and I called him back telling him the situation. He very kindly said he would meet us at the bus stop. This he did and took us to the apartment which was about a 10 minute walk away. The apartment is on the 6th floor and there is a small lift. As there were four of us, plus Chiara’s father and our bags, we needed two trips. We were shown around the apartment which was really lovely. It has two bedrooms, one with a king size bed for us and one with twin beds for the children. The living area has a dining table, a settee and a small kitchen area with a microwave, toaster, excellent coffee maker (with coffee supplied :-) ), a four ring hob and a fridge. No oven but no problem at all for a weeks stay. The bathroom was great with a bath and a shower. We also had a washing machine hidden away here. There is a terrace with a table and chairs where the kids liked to have their breakfast overlooking the Tibor and some of the sites of Rome. There was a large TV in the living area and one in each of the bedrooms with DVD players etc. The welcome we received was fantastic and Chiara had even made us a cake. Her father explained that they were having problem with the internet and that they had arranged to have the connection fixed the next day – even so he had gone out of his way to install a temporary Vodaphone connection so we would not be inconvenienced! He also very kindly offered to take us on a tour of Rome that evening. However the children were tired so we declined. The location of the apartment was ideal for us. It was about a twenty minute walk to the Piazza del Popolo (here there is an excellent hands on Leonardo da Vinci exhibition). From there it is not too far from the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon, with many excellent sites in between. We also walked to/from the Vatican which was probably took about half an hour or so. We found the metro to be a good way of getting around (getting to the Colosseum etc). The station was about a 15 minute walk away. From there it is a short journey to the main overground station. On one of our days out we took a fast train to Naples (which we booked online in advance) and then a commuter train to Herculaneum. This was great for the kids and much more manageable than Pompeii. We had a wonderful week in Rome (in the middle of February) made even more enjoyable by the welcome we received, the care and attention from Chiara and her father, and the lovely apartment. I would like to say we would be back but I fear that Chiara’s apartment will become so popular that booking may end up being a problem!!!! :-) … see more
