“Neat Apartment 10 minutes from the Vatican + with all travel options available” The Apartment is just as it looks in the photos; it is on the 4th floor of the building, but there is a lift. The (lady) owner is as efficient and accommodating as possible, as well as being very helpful with local information. Siliva was also very easy to contact at all times. My 10 year old granddaughter and I felt very safe there and were very comfortable. The Apartment is large enough for a small family, or up to 4 (very good) friends. The Apartment is about 100 paces from San Pietro station, and therefore has very easy access to the railway network ... it is also close to major bus routes throughout the city. We found the train journey to Fiumicino Airport very easy, and used the Metro extensively. The 64 bus stops outside the (other side) of San Pietro station and this can take you right through the city to Termini; the 571 bus stops down on the main road and goes through to the Colosseum; the 116 stops by the Vatican City (which is a 10 minute walk away, or you can use bus 64) and this goes through old Rome all the way to the Villa Borghese. There is a supermarket about 15 minutes walk away; and a pleasant bar/restaurant about 50 paces down from the Apartment (towards the station). The cafe is the train station is small but v good (Anna is lovely and makes great coffee!). Now that I have found this Apartment I intend to book it again upon any re-visit to Rome. I would recommend Chez Silvia to anyone looking for economical but clean and comprehensive accommodation in the area. THANK YOU TO SILIVA AND BARBARA FOR HELPING US ENJOY A GREAT STAY.
