“Superb guest treatment” I stayed at Daniel's place last July (2011), as the final stop of my travelling. After sleeping at many low-profile guesthouses, I felt like a litle prince when I stayed at Tirta asri. Daniel and his wife make you feel welcome from the very first moment and they treat you as a true guest. I had a wonderful room with a big soft bed and a magnificent outlook over the valley. Daniel took me on a litle jungle trip down to the river, true adventure! The villa is close to Ubud, but far away enough from all yelling cabdrivers. The surroundings are beautifull with all the rice fields! Also a very nice feature: Daniels father in law runs a litle travel agency which can be very helpfull if you like to. If you like to find your own way around, it's also fine. All I would like to address is that Daniel and his wife are wonderfull people and gracious. And no, they didn't pay me to write this positive review. Enjoy your stay!

“Highly recommended!” If you are looking for a quiet get-a-way on the outskirts of Ubud that has the feel of luxury, privacy and aesthetic charm at an affordable price, Rumah Tamu can't be beat. Designed and owned by an artist, the guest house and grounds have the feel of a living museum. As a group of 6, we were all well taken care of by the amazing staff who helped with everything from laundry to transport to setting up a masseuse to come to our room. Food can be prepared for you or there is also a small but well equipped kitchen if you would prefer to be the chef. Each room varies in it's ammenities: options include private pools, flat screen TV, massage room, AC, tub, and living rooms. The open air dining is a nice plus allowing social interaction amongst the gardens and sculptures. We landed here after a chaotic and challenging work trip to debrief and decompress; it was exactly what we needed (and more) and if I am ever lucky enough to be in Bali again, this is where I will be staying.

“Hidden gem in Ubud” This hidden gem is just a 5 minutes walk into town. The entire property is a piece of paradise, and I was glad we decided to take an entire afternoon out of our hectic schedule, to enjoy the facilities. I rented the entire property for 4 nights, and it was worth every cent! The staff took great care of us, and the cook spoilt us with her meals! We ate all our breakfast and dinner at the villa, as the food was amazing! I love the openess of the architecture, and how the buildings flow and blend with the natural surroundings! Another tip - the staff will organise a very nice Balinese dinner party, complete with musicians and Balinese dancers, if you notify them ahead of time. Also, use the services of the driver and vehicle, as the locals know where the best places are!

“A dream!” Villa Kanti is truly a dream! The grounds were clean and beautiful and the amenities were everything you needed and more. We chose Villa Kanti for an intimate wedding and vacation for our family of 9. The location is a little tucked away which met our needs. However, if you need to travel around Ubud, the Villa provides a driver or additional drivers if needed. The best part of our stay was the service, the entire team was friendly and accommodating to our needs and wants.
