“Quaint Seacoast Retreat” We ( two couples) chose to stay here two nights while exploring the Redwoods. Found the area to be a quiet, peaceful get away. Enjoyed the view out the large picture window. We watched the fishing boats as they journeyed out. Several great walking trails around the town. The beach was spacious and secluded, although it was rather cool when we were there. Nice kitchen to prepare your own meals. Bedding comfortable and clean. Great breakfast at restaurant by harbor. Wildlife all around. Would definitely stay again. Sorry that pictures would not load properly!
“Very comfortable, warm home. Nice path down to small beach” This home was the perfect place to be for dropping my daughter off at HSU for her freshman year. I would have preferred a beach view and to hear the waves but I knew before I went that this was not quite close enough for that. It was a very easy walk down the private path to the beach and we used that every day. Very close to all the beautiful spots in this area. Everything about the house was perfect. I would stay here again.
“beautiful house and view BUT!!” the heating system did not work properly(confirmed by a tech called by owner or?)and all were cold except on a couple of sunny days. The firepalce in the main room was disappointing with a very small flame viible. the hot water circulating system didnt exist or didnt work requiring several minutes to get hot water to the master bath. The need to haul trash several miles is inconvenient considering what we paid. operating the tvs is difficult even for an engineer.
these are items that should be corrected since overall the house met all our expectations and the family had a great Thanksgiving. It should be noted we have 2 granddaughters attending Humboldt State so we expect to visit the area again
“Awesome House in Trinidad” My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunset Vista in Trinidad, CA. The house was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable, and the view from the many large windows was spectacular. It easily accommodated all members of my family. Thank you for helping us have a wonderful family vacation in Trinidad.
“Truly unique property--met our needs on variety of levels” We recently stayed at Paloma Creek Lodge, creating a mini-family reunion around my son's final HSU football games. Delighted to have lots of family and friends join us ranging in age from 3 to 80+ years...a dozen of us comfortably slept at Paloma, while the other 13 were housed at Best Western Arcata Inn. My son and several of his friends join us, too, for a couple dinners.
We were able to gather together at the house for meals, visiting, games and general merriment! The November weather was spotty from pouring rain to patchy sun, so we did not use the outside areas as much as one might in better weather. However, the hot tub was a lovely retreat even when it was sprinkling.
The great thing about this house is the sweet variety of spaces--some of our group could be relaxing by the fireplace watching TV or reading, others surrounded the dining room table for card games, while some were upstairs playing pool or darts, and still more of our group found friendly spaces to just hang out in the kitchen or deck--there was something and somewhere for everyone.
We would highly recommend this rental unit. We mainly worked with Heather and Mike who were friendly and accommodating as we were making our arrangements and while we were on location.
“A haven in the mist” We enjoyed a lovely two night stay in this property which ticked all the boxes for an English family of five looking for a "cabin in the woods" experience. I loved having the sea at the bottom of th garden (although I didn't see it properly until the morning of the last day when the mist finally cleared!). Trinidad is a great little town, and we enjoyed exploring tidepools at Patricks Point as well. The only downside was a very faint smell of dog in the main bedroom. I know dog lovers must be grateful to find someone to take their pets, but it can be offputting for others. It didn't spoil the stay though. Thank you!
“Complete serenity, beauty and all the comforts you need!” Located in a beautiful setting looking out at redwood forests the property was located on an extremely quiet street with peace and serenity abounding. Wonderful location if you want to enjoy the calm and also great location for exploring the north coast. The townhouse is wonderfully maintained and fully supplied with any creature comforts you can imagine. A little on the high end for price, but still a very nice property.
