Vorremo evidenziare che al momento del check-in il nostro staff d?accoglienza ha verificato con Lei il corretto funzionamento delle dotazioni e del televisione (nessuno prima di Lei ci ha comunicato difetti della tv in questo appartamento). L?antenna si � spostata per via del maltempo che in quei giorni ha duramente colpito tutto il Lazio, ci� nonostante proprio per venire incontro alle Sue esigenze abbiamo contattato un tecnico che � intervenuto sistemando il cavo dell?antenna. Per quanto riguarda gli asciugamani la nostra dotazione non prevede l?asciugamano da bidet ma visto la Sua insoddisfazione in merito Le abbiamo fornito un asciugamano in pi�. Il mobilio, se pur non all?ultima moda, � visibile nelle fotografie pubblicate on-line cos� come sono verificabili le dotazioni che forniamo. Pur essendo un?azienda low-cost cerchiamo di dare il massimo e la Sua recensione sar� comunque utile per migliorarci.

We are unhappy not to have met your expectations, and sorry to see such an extensive list of things which have made you unhappy in such a lovely property. Clearly, you were looking for something that was not what we were proposing. We had tried to set things right when you called on arrival, and honestly believe that we did, short of the air-conditioning, for which you were compensated.. But I would like to give some explanations to the points that you make. 1. I (the agent that you refer to), had said at the beginning that the house was not air-conditioned as a whole, but that I believed that the mezzanine bedroom alone did have a/c. I was wrong on that one count for which I apologised to you. As you pointed out, I personally refunded you because of this mistake on my part. I had added that this is a mountain house at a high altitude and is normally a very cool house. I stand by this. Unfortunately the week that you were there was one of the very hottest in recorded history. You did not mention that the owner, on your arrival, offered you the use of the Guest House at no additional charge, so that you would not need to use the room with the loft bed. The Guest House has a normal value of €720 per week. Neither the advertisement, nor I, claim that there are 5 double bedrooms, only that there are 5 bedrooms. As you were 5 single women, and not 5 couples, a single bedroom which had a double bed seemed to me perfectly appropriate. I did say that one bedroom has a mezzanine bed, Like most family homes, not all bedrooms are equal, and some are designed with children in mind. When you say a "box" room, I know which room you refer to, but I do not understand your use of adjective "box". It is a smaller room, with a regular double bed, but you did not need it as the owner provided you with the Guest House, where, indeed, you also had two additional bathrooms to the house bathrooms that you noted. If you had reported that one of the bath-tubs leaked, a plumber would have been sent immediately. I did go and meet with the owners, and checked out your complaints. When I asked about the clothes in the cupboard, they were surprised, and showed me that they had left bathrobes, extra towels, and slippers for you. Though not new, the bathrobes you mention were clean and for your use. They were not the owners'. There were no vests. Likewise, the olive oil and vinegar (not alcohol) were left for you. The olive oil in fact is local and had been decanted into a bottle, and the owner thought that she was leaving you a "gift" to make your stay easier, and to introduce you to local products.. She likewise left a supply of soap and shampoo n the bathrooms. In the future, she will be using miniatures.
I was surprised that the beds were not made on arrival. I have discussed this with the owner, and in future all beds must and will be made. I apologized to you for this,and it is one of the reasons that I personally made you a refund.
Lounge beds; We have addressed this problem as well. In fact there many more sun beds in the Storage Room - enough for 10 people. The owner thought it looked neater to keep them stored away. The gardener comes every day to clean the pool, and keep the garden immaculate. He also takes out the chairs on request, if you had asked. He would have found you an unbroken one AND repaired the broken one.
The owner may have seemed "brusque", but she simply does not speak much English. In addition, you were quite late for your arrival appointment, and she was late for another appointment of her own. I am sure that she did not intend to be dismissive; she is a shy person, not a professional hotelier.
Again, I apologize for any misunderstandings about what the property offers. It is not a luxury hotel, it is a chalet, in a wonderful natural setting with many advantages for those who love nature, authenticity, a beautiful setting, a private pool, a great kitchen, lovely outdoor spaces, all within an hour of Rome, near the gardens of Tivoli, and many other extraordinary Italian sites. I am happy to hear that you would consider using Commendable Rentals again. Now that I understand better what you will want, I am sure that I can lead you to a property that would suit your needs. I also feel that this property will thrill families who are looking for a vacation spot in a relaxed and welcoming environment, as it has others.

"Overpriced and disppointing"

I take complaints deeply to heart and have never, ever, treated a complaint with indignation. I can only believe that you make that claim, simply because you were not conceded the refund that you requested. We felt that your issues were mostly minor; and that this large and well furnished house, with well-cared for grounds, a beautiful pool, and a priceless view, was still more than worth the price that you paid even acknowledging some of the issue that you have cited. The issue of the Internet was a result of a major storm which took out the Internet tower in the area, and thus was force majeur, out of the control of the owners. However, immediately that you reported it, the owners sent electricians from Rome, who came more than once, to try to fix the problem. It was repaired before the week was up, contrary to what you claimed. I have now gone to the house and met with owners and checked on all the issues that were raised I have tested the Internet myself. It was efficient, effective, and fast.
I had considerable contact with the owners about your complaints, and took seriously your issues, some of which I was unaware, to improve the house for future Guests. The beds will always be prepared and ready to welcome Guests New towels were purchased immediately after your complaint The fridge will be left empty in the future. The owner had left some fresh local olive oil for you, poured into a refillable bottle. She has checked all the spices for dates. That is all that she left. The piano is not tuneable, and I have removed it from mention. It will now be off limits to guests. I do not think lack of a piano is an issue justifying a refund. The house is not air-conditioned. It does stay cool, but in exceptionally hot weather, the one top bedroom can get hot. In addition to using a fan, the best action is to enjoy the pool and the extensive outdoor facilities. Fans were available.
Again, I do deny treating you with anything but respect. To underline how respectfully we treated you, as a resident of Italy, you were offered a free weekend in another property which we thought you might enjoy; just not a refund.
