Robin Cottage: charming riverside mill conversion, dog-friendly with lake access
    Already booked to return!

The fact that we have already booked to return in a few months time should say it all. We loved our stay at Sunny Bank Mill. We were blessed with the weather - it was glorious t-shirt weather for the whole week, which enhanced our stay. We didn't travel far as we had car trouble during our stay and our car was only available to us for one day but we had such lovely walks and adventures around Coniston Water and surrounding area. Our two dogs absolutely adored the trip and racing around the private woods and on to the jetty that belongs to the Mill properties. I was glad that I had brought flashing led collars for the night time walk though otherwise I would have not been able to spot them when they were off the lead in the woods. Robin cottage was lovely and cosy - we didn't use the 2nd bedroom that was in the annex as we didn't need the space. Wfi was of sufficient strength to do usual browsing, emails and watch catch up TV on if required. Next time, I will arrange for our grocery shopping to be delivered on our arrival as our clever neighbour did in the next door cottage. Can't wait to get back to the fresh air and breath taking views. Loved it. see more
Dipper Cottage: charming riverside mill conversion, dog-friendly and lake access
    Excellent

The cottage was really well equipped and a good base for exploring. Took 2 kayaks with us and the access to lake was good. Great time spent down by jetty and over to the island. Hope to go back sometime. … see more
Sunny Bank Mill - gorgeous river-side location, spacious rooms, own lake access
    70th birthday

We rented this property because of its location and the fact that it could easily accommodate our family. All the family were impressed and enjoyed their time there but it would have been better for us if we could have rented Friday to Friday or access the property earlier on the Saturday. I understand the reason for not being able to get in before 5 p.m. and the owner was helpful and said that if we arrived early we could go into the garden or the grounds. The house is very well equipped and the Bathrooms are of a very high standard. I was a bit sad that previous tenants had not looked after the dining chairs or kept the kitchen cupboards and pans tidy . We had a forewarned power cut but the only problem it caused us was that we could not work out how to reset the cooker and microwave clocks. Manuals would have been useful or maybe I did not find them More than was expected was provided e.g light bulbs , dishwasher tablets .washing powder. I would definitely recommend this property to others and have already done so. The views are wonderful and we felt very much at home Thank you for a memorable 70th birthday celebration Janet see more
Sunny Bank Farm - large oak-beamed cottage, garden, private lake frontage.
Perfect, idyllic, enchanting - Sunnybank Farm has it all

We have celebrated New Year at SunnyBank Farm for many years with our immediate and extended family. It is just the most perfect place, the lake views, welcoming fire, cosy lounges, fantastic, well equipped kitchen and loads of space for all ages. The barn is brilliant for indoor games either after dinner for the adults or on wet afternoons for the children. This year was particularly special as we rented all of the SunnyBank properties. The farm, the house and three cottages, this was just perfect to give our extended family their own space but we were then able to come together to celebrate New Year and my 60th birthday. Despite the rain this year, Sunnybank Farm and the other properties never fail to enchant both ourselves and our family. What better way to start to New Year than with friends and family, bacon butties, Christmas cake and flasks of hot coffee by the lake with a view of the distant fells covered with a light dusting of snow, simply perfect. We would recommend this property without hesitation to anyone who enjoys holiday accommodation that is literally a very well equipped, spacious and cared for home from home, in one of the most idyllic Lake District settings. see more
    ASH GILL COTTAGE, Torver, pet-free
    Excellent!! Would highly recommend!!

We just spent 5 days and absolutely loved it. The house was spotless and very clean. Our 4 young children loved every minute of it and would come back and stay here again without hesitation. The card and bottle of wine from the owners was a very nice touch and made us feel very welcome there. Thanks again. see more
    Old Pottery Cottage
    Excellent location & pet friendly

Our stay was over the New Year's Eve weekend. Location was ideal, 15 mins slow walk to Torver, two pubs, both served very nice food, friendly staff and dog friendly. The cottage had everything we needed. Included salt & pepper (this is reference to a previous review), slow cooker, dishwasher etc. Take your own coffee, tea, sugar & wash up liquid. Log burner & wood. The internet is slow ☹️ But both pubs have wifi. Upstairs floors are very creaky, but this adds to the quirkiness of the cottage. see more
