“Beautiful apartment in great location for a relaxing beach holiday”

The two of us had a fantastic stay in this apartment in Mali i Robit.
It is exactly what it says on the tin when it says beachfront, literally less than 15 seconds from door to sand, and we loved … More
Thank you so much for your lovely & informative review.
Just a few things:
The confusion is understandable, but our Loft apartment is on the 3rd floor, not the 4th floor. There are only a few stairs to the main floor, then 3 floors. In total, there are 3.5 flights of stairs to reach the Loft. Our 2 apartments are in a small low-rise building, so an elevator isn't really necessary. We also have an apartment on the 2nd floor just below the Loft (2.5 flights of stairs) that is available to large families of 5. Both apartments have a fabulous view, but the Loft has the best view of the entire building.
Both of our apartments are perfect for single travellers, couples, or families with children. It is possible for 4 or more adults to rent both apartments if extra comfort and privacy are desired. As advertised, there is a queen-size bed in the main bedroom and a large couch in the living room that pulls out into a double bed. We also provide a single bed upon request. Our 1-bedroom beachfront apartments that accommodate 1 – 5 guests provide an economical alternative to 2-bedroom beachfront apartments of similar standard, which rent for approx. 30 euros or more per night.
Public transportation in Albania is extremely cheap but it takes time, so travellers should start their sightseeing days early. Certain places are not accessible by bus. Mali i Robit – Berat is approx. 85 km. It takes about 2.5 hours to go to Berat by bus, but the journey is interesting and Berat is a Unesco site. It takes 1.5 hours to drive to Berat if you know the road and approx. 2 hours if you don't.
Rental cars in Albania are quite cheap, particularly in the low season. Helpful Hint : It is practical and economical to rent a car from the airport, drive to the apartment, do a bit of sightseeing, and return the car to the airport. Driving in Tirana can be hair raising (so it is best to park behind the « National History Museum » and then walk or take a quick taxi to the lively « Blloku District »), but other destinations are not quite the same – it just takes time as some roads in Albania are still not very good.
Please note : Albanian roads become extremely busy in July and August, particularly going to the south. If you rent a car from September – June (and first week July, last week August) the roads are much less congested.
