“Great holiday cottage in a beautiful setting” Well equipped and cosy cottage in a fantastic location. A few minutes walk to the amenities in the village. It was n't the weather for using the garden but looks like it will be great in the warmer mont

    Harbour View, Strangford
    Strangford with a view

Harbour View was a great base. Plenty of space and lovely period features. Fabulous views from the breakfast / window bar across Strangford Lough- proved a favourite spot with the whole family to watch the world go by and the ferries. Right in the centre of the village. Nice to have teo seating areas - the grown ups congregatwd on in the kitchen/ diner/ snug and the kids used tge first floor room as their base / movie room. Central for exploring - we went to Tayto Park in Co Meath, Carrickfergus castle, Ballycastle, Ballintoy harbour and Giant's Causeway. see more
    Number 42
    Absolutely delightful place

We have stayed at No 42 for many years now and it really is home from home. The house is beautiful, location is fantastic for us as it is close to our family, shop, pubs and places to eat all in walking distance and allows us to have great access to all the fantastic surroundings. The secure parking at the back is great, the garden is a great little sun trap on a sunny day. You have everything you need in the property and Paul goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable from the time you book until you leave. If you want somewhere to stay where you can explore the beautiful surroundings of county down, i would highly recommend it. see more
The Old Rectory, Strangford, Northern Ireland
    A wonderful ambience

A lovely place to stay. Some properties aren't really big enough for the number of people they can accommodate. This has seven bedrooms on the upstairs floor, meaning that the reception and kitchen areas are very generous. We loved having a second food preparation area as that meant we could get the prep done in half the time and cook together a bit more. It's hard to prepare a meal for 11 with just one sink. We loved having two areas. Having three en suites worked well. I booked the property with my two brothers and our offspring so it was one ensuite for each family really. It's a quiet location near the Mourne mountains in one direction and Belfast in the other so it's just perfect for a large group who might want different things. That's what we thought but we ended up doing everything as a group! see more
