“WOW - Everything you could wish for and a lot more.” The Villa was just in the perfect surrounding with breathtaking views, it was close to the airport, beautiful beaches with clear water, mini market, bars and restaurants that makes you feel at home. Everything in the villa was perfect too, very clean, fully equipped with everything that was needed and to top it up with really comfortable indoor & outdoor furniture’s…Just perfect. We are sure to book again for 2013 as it felt like being in haven, which for two weeks of the year, we are pleased to pretend it’s our home!

Spacious apartment with breakfast, pool, tennis court and sea view
Great base, nice accommodation, fantastic pool

Liakas village (resort) is about 2 km south of spartia. It's isolated - no bars or shops in walking distance. That means it's quiet. There are 5 restaurants within a 10 minute drive. They're all good. There are beaches within a five minute drive. A car is absolutely essential. Liakas comprises about a dozen 2 storey buildings. 5 of them are around the pool, the others a short walk away. There is a bar in the middle that serves breakfast and lunch, but closes around 3.30. If you want a drink poolside, b.y.o. The rooms are big. Lounge/kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. They include a single and a double bed settee as well as the double bedroom. While we were here there was seven people (5 adults 2 children) in one unit! With that in mind, if you can, specify first floor. These are concrete buildings (everything is in kefalonia) and sound insulation is poor. The pool is faaaaaaantastic. 20m with a kiddy pool in one corner. Loads of loumgers. The only downside in August/September is wasps. Hundreds of 'em. As a child, I'd have been freaked out. In summary, this is a great place. I was concerned that it's a bit far from the prettier locations on the island which are in he north, but everything is within a 90 minute drive. … see more
Nerissa bungalows No.5 Independed house near the beach
Wonderful holiday

In a nutshell Dimitris, Elena and Poppy offer the best apartment on the island. On arrival we were greeted with lots of fruit, Home made olive oil, dinner on two occasions, home made cake and food to last a few days. I have never been made so welcome and I can honestly say it was the best place I have ever stayed in Greece and shall be going back. The place was very clean, maintained to a high standard with comfortable beds and lots of towels. The nearby beach was a 10 minute walk and was very quiet and not over crowded at all, sandy beaches and friendly locals. The family bent over backwards to accomodate and should be proud of their hospitality. Spartia is a very quaint village and has about 6 eating establishments and two supermarkets. It's near Argostoli and the airport and if you want to see the surrounding areas you will need a car. Please go and stay and you will come back very content and also humbled by the Greek kindness especially from Dimitris and his family. … see more

Spartia Villa Review

The Villa is of a high standard and benefits from excellent sea views. Situated in a peaceful location but close enough to amenities and restaurants. The interior rooms are all good sizes and well finished. The pool and garden area is lovely with the benefit of a pergola and barbeque area which has good lighting for use at night. The pool is a touch too small for the size of villa and would be a bit cramped for large groups. The weekly change of towels is insufficient; we would have preferred a cleaning service and change of towels 2-3 times per week. Nerissa bungalows No.4 Indipended , near the beach
Perfect holiday

We arrived fairly late at night to the apartment, it was fairly easy to find once you got your head around the Greek road signs and bendy roads. Dimitris was waiting for us when we arrived and we were welcomed warmly and with an amazing amount of complimentary bits and bobs in the apartment. We had a fridge full of fresh home grown tomatoes and peppers, various milks and cheese, a freshly baked moussaka waiting in the oven for us cooked by his lovely wife Eleni, and also a delicious cake that lasted the whole week we were there! We also had a bottle of their home made olive oil which was absolutely beautiful. We couldn't have asked for a better welcoming. The apartment itself was perfect for what we needed. The bedrooms all have air conditioning for those of Greek nights and the kitchen was brilliant for what we needed. We didn't stay inside much as sitting on the balcony terrace was much more to our preference, with a beautiful view out to the sea, and at night (if you're there at the right time of the month) an incredible view of the moon over the sea. Eleni came by half way through our week there to clean the place and give us fresh bed sheets (and another load of fresh tomatos!!) which was a lovely touch. Our favourite bar to go to at night was just a short stroll down the hill to Waterway, very friendly and cracking position right upon the cliff face, lovely place to spend your evenings. Some of our favourite beaches that we would recommend would be; Koroni beach, a beautiful remote place, very quite and wild, Avithos, which had an absolutely cracking beach bar right upon the beach and just our local beach in Spartia just down the road from the apartment, beautiful clear waters, perfect for swimming. All in all this was definitely a place to remember and would like to thank Dimitris and Eleni for making our time there so special! … see more
Villa Belesonis
Fantastic Location

We had a fantastic 2 week holiday in this wonderfully located villa. I agree with some of the other posts, that the photo's do not reflect the amazing location and how well equipped this villa really is. The owner was extremely helpful and the welcome pack left for us on arrival at the villa was the best we have ever experienced - how many places do you arrive at 12am and there is a warm meal waiting for you? The owners mother also cooked again for us during our 2 week stay and supplied us with figs and local produce. If you are looking for a villa with amazing views, and access to beeches and the local village then look no further. We will definitely be back! … see more
