“A great apartment” Well situated...just metres from the beach, this apartment has everything you could need. Spotlessly clean and with some wow factor ( the bathroom and bed size ) it provided us with a very comfortable place to explore the local areas. We would highly recommend this apartment to everybody.

“A home away from home” My partner and I stayed at Allerton House Stables for 7 days, and it more than met our expectations. Chris and Carol gave us a warm welcome, then left us alone to enjoy our self-contained accommodation secure in the knowledge that they were next door if ever we needed anything. Allerton House Stables gave us more independence than a bed and breakfast arrangement. Nonetheless, we were given access to the main house and were able to borrow dvds and books. The accommodation was immaculate and very comfortable -- the bed was especially cosy. The location is ideal: quiet yet just a few minutes walk from the centre of the town. Just a few wee suggestions: it would be great if the wet room could somehow be converted into a dry bathroom, and a little extra cupboard space for food supplies would have been helpful. That said, I would highly recommend it. We'll certainly be back.

“Amazing” Watch Cottage has to be up there with our favourite cottage holidays, magnificent place for our break. We loved getting live lobsters and crab from local fishermen. Sitting in the garden each day with our books and glass (or two) of wine. Thanks Beverley, we would really like to return.

“St. Margarets cottage Coldingham” Lovely cottage, clean, quaint and very private and quiet. Not keen on low ceilings in bedroom cause we keep banging our heads. That may be our problem cause getting out of bed during night you are not thinking about ceilings. If you want a peaceful, quiet time I fully recommend t this.

“Charming cottage” We have just spent three lovely nights at this cosy and spacious cottage. We have extended family in Melrose but there were too many family members visiting at the same time to all stay at their home so we conveniently stayed at this lovely cottage with our two young children (3 and 1). Claire and Donald arranged a travel cot for us which was perfect and Donald graciously welcomed us despite our arrival in the dark on our first night! Highly recommended and we'll certainly return next time we come to the UK to visit our extended family.

“Wonderful weekend” Had a fantastic weekend with family at this beautiful cottage. Location was excellent for Eyemouth and Coldingham Bay. Had a lovely meal in Eyemouth near the harbour and ice creams on the beach watching the world go by in Coldingham. The owners really have thought of everything you need for your stay, from hairdryers, candles even a torch for when it's dark and you need to walk the dog!! We loved it - you will too.

“St Abbs cottage” Found the cottage randomly online. Couldn't have dreamt of something so perfect. I could have stayed forever. Fully and beautifully equipped property. Cant think of anything I might have needed. The area is so tranquil and unspoilt. Even the weather was relatively kind. Managed a good few days on the beach. Feeding the seals in the harbour at Eyemouth an unexpected highlight. Will definitely book again.

“The most delightful comfortable character property in The Borders” Recently were lucky to get a booking at Yethouse Farm in the Scottish Borders. The house was large, comfortable and welcoming as were the hosts Barbara & Paul Elborn. It is a tranquil location within easy reach of Newcastleton surrounded by beautiful walks and breathtaking scenery. There is lots to do and see in the area if you want days out or jsut walk and admire the fabulous location. We had a fabulous week and will certainly be going back!

“All we needed in the perfect location.” The Coach House is attractively decorated, with a fully equiped kitchen/diner. There was plenty of space for relaxation and we especially appreciated having a seperate lounge. Located in the village of Chirnside with a Co-op, post office & butcher just down the street. Fantastic location for exploring the Border region. St. Abbs, Eyemouth, Coldstream, Berwick and more are all less than 30 minutes away. The owners as well as the locals in the village were friendly and helpful. We stayed one week and could have stayed another without running out of things to do and places to see whether you are a shopper or a rambler. The only downside is that the bedroom ceiling is very low at the sides because it is up in the roof. In fine weather there is a table and chairs outside and although the Coach House is on the owner's property you have a real sense of privacy while you are there.
