“Amazing views and lovely house” These are surely some of the best views in St Andrews from both front and back of the house. The house is clean, well equipped and stylish and very comfortable. It is only a short walk to the shops, restaurants and town centre (5-10mins if that) so the location is excellent. East sands is closest but West sands are only 10-15mins walk along the seafront. Open plan nature of the first floor sitting and kitchen area is great. St Andrews is a great location and there is more to it than just the golf!

“Superb” Lovely holiday home which met needs of all our family well. Have been before and will return again. Really enhanced our holiday and owner couldn’t be more helpful. Lots to do and explore nearby and great base to visit St ANDREWS, Elie and many other attractions . Lovely coastal walks too. Kids and adults loved it.

“Great Cottage in an amazing setting” Really impressed with the way Isobel and Ken were waiting for us with a starter pack of food and a bottle of wine and flowers. Ecellant cottage, very well equipped. We wanted to be a bit remote and the little hamlet overlooking the Loch was lovely. Some good walks from lots of information in the cottage. We spent hours just sitting on the bench overlooking the Lock watching the birds and boats. Excellent holiday would stay again if we are on Lewis in the future

“Very clean flat in ideal location” We liked the high quality fixtures, furniture, utensils etc. It is ideally located in the centre of the town for those who want to eat out. It is also, quite possibly, the cleanest holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay there again.

“Riff Cottage is fabulous” Riff Cottage was a great place to stay. It was so warm and cosy. Really clean. Excellent for dogs. They can dry off in kitchen and dining area before getting into the lounge using the bby gate. Good walks nearby along the coast. Enclosed garden. Great shower and bath. The hosts were so good. They left a very generous welcome pack with lots of local goodies. They offered to give advice on local attractions. The location is very good for both Stromness, Kirkwall and all mainland. Beautifully quiet and great for star gazing with no other distracting light. Really enjoyed our week at Riff Cottage.

“Very comfortable house for two people.” This is a house nestling in the heart of a back-in-time tiny village (Drumbuie) on the west coast of Scotland. The interior design is excellent and has everything you could wish for including a wood-burner. There are great walks to be done, some of which are along the coast. Plockton has a wonderful pub serving excellent food.

“Comfortable Cottage in quiet area of Callander” We have visited Callander many times on the way to the highlands, but haven't stayed for any length of time, We decided to stay this year and explore the Trossachs. Callander has a lot more to offer that we realised from our short stop-off visits. Good shops, excellent cafes and pubs, and take-away places. We also had more chance to explore the town. There is an excellent History Trail around the town, and a lovely walk along a disused railway line, out into the countryside. Andreu Cottage is of a very high standard of comfort and cleanliness. The kitchen is very well supplied with all equipment which could possibly be needed. The main bedroom has a king size bed which is very comfortable. There are two bathrooms. Great for a family or two couples sharing the property. An additional 'bonus' is the friendly and helpful neighbours at No3. Full of local knowledge and very welcoming. Only issue which might be of importance to some visitors is the lack of parking space next to the property. We were fine, we could park on the next road and walk through but anyone with any mobility problems might find it a difficulty. We would highly recommend this property for families or couples.

“Sealladh an Loch” A fantastic house in a great location. The snooker table was well used during our weekend and there were plenty private and public spaces for us all to enjoy. Perfect for our annual 6 couple get together.

“Excellent” We were a group of six reduced to four doing a lightning trip to Islay for only two nights. The house is lovely, nicely renovated, tastefully decorated and has literally everything you need, for example, when we thought there was no corkscrew a second look found a drawer with FIVE of them! The house is warm and cosy, beds comfortable and garden pretty. We wished we were there for a week or two instead of so briefly.

“Lovely Find!” We booked this cottage on location and strength of reviews although it looked very small and we took the reviews with a pinch of salt. We were wrong! While it IS small (and doesn't pretend otherwise) it is cute and cosy with everything you need - other reviews have been wholly accurate. This side of the loch is much quieter and less touristy than the North/West side and the walking, chilling and wildlife spotting opportunities are excellent. It's also within reach of Speyside to the east and the west coast. Also, the owner did not lie - Pine Martens and (we were out but we trust them) stags visit the garden. Negatives? It rained every day but that's a risk in the highlands - we were unlucky. Only other negative is a lack of feeding/watering holes in Foyers: two nice cafes (esp Cameron's) and one pub that, while nice enough, doesn't offer "treat" dining - you need a car for that. Would we recommend the property? Absolutely!

“Summit Lodge hits the heights!” Outstanding! Wonderful location. Incredible views. Beautiful lodge finished to an incredibly high standard. The owners Moira and Bob were so helpful both before our arrival, during our stay and have shown a real interest in us since we have left. The log fire in the Lodge is to die for. We hired the Summit Lodge as we were in St Andrews for our sons wedding. It was a fabulous location and made our wedding even more special. Only one complaint......it's too far from Ruislip in Middlesex other wise we'd be booking it up straight away!! THANK YOU SO MUCH Moira & Bob

“Wonderful escape in a beautiful cottage” We had a wonderful stay at North Lodge, the log fire was the main draw but we also loved the location. Such a peaceful spot and a great escape from the city. There are lots of nice things to do locally and we went for several walks read from recommendations left by the owner. The cottage is stunning with an excellent kitchen where we cooked most evenings. Even has good internet and Sky TV to stay in a watch a movie whilst warming up around the fire. The hardest thing about the holiday was leaving.

“A real gem” Great stay at West Carrie Cottage. Perfect location with plenty to keep all occupied whether you want to go out or stay in and relax. Rannoch (and the Highlands in Scotland) is stunning and the people are great. Take time to review the visitors book as it has a lot of good suggestions for things to do (the walks lically and out on the moor, the West Highland Line to Mallaig, 'Treats' kin Kinlock Rannoch and Blair atholl are all a must). The cottage itself is of a high standard, is very comfortable and has many quality facilities. A great welcome awaits and nothing is too much trouble for Hans and Dawn, the owners. Make time to visit: you won't regret it - we didn't and will be back asap.

“Bal Mara, Hopeman. Well worth the Trip.” We rented this accommodation for 6 days at the end of our recent visit to the Moray Coast. It's ideally situated for exploring this beautiful part of Scotland, within easy reach of Lossiemouth, Elgin and even Inverness. Rhona and her husband were extremely accommodating and left a thoughtful welcome pack in the kitchen for our arrival. Hopeman itself has a lovely little beach, with a chippy, a couple of ice cream shops and a craft butcher at the end of the road. There is a lovely little golf club about 5 minutes along the road, offering 7-day memberships for £89. Great value for money. Already planning a return when time allows.
