Sanxenxo is one of Spain’s most exclusive holiday resorts, a favourite spot for Inditex billionaire Amancio Ortega and the Prime Minister. Luckily, you don’t need to be a tycoon to find your own place on its golden coast. You can find your own Sanxenxo apartment, with all the luxuries, right here on Holiday Lettings.
Houses in Sanxenxo vary from modern apartments to spacious villas. In urban Sanxenxo, away from the beach, apartments with pools are the best way of staying cool in the summer heat—in August, temperatures regularly pass 25 degrees! As the restaurants and upmarket bars can be expensive, a self-catering apartment in Sanxenxo is the obvious choice if you’re on a budget. Live like a king in your own villa!
Whether you prefer to stay close to the resort or travel farther for solitude, Sanxenxo has a beach to suit you. Wherever you go, calm, clean waters and an unmistakable sense of luxury await.
In the centre of town, Sanxenxo’s main beach is enormous. Pristine white sand, vivid blue sea and easy access to nearby restaurants invite you to forget your troubles and just relax.
Playa de Areas, to the east of Sanxenxo is a beautiful white-sand beach with water so clear you’ll think you’re floating on air. The stunning cove is sheltered from the Atlantic and stays shallow all the way out to the buoys that mark the safe swimming area (though lifeguards are on-hand for peace of mind). There are even some rockpools to explore, making Playa de Areas a favourite of families.
Playa Canelas, west of Sanxenxo, is shorter than Playa de Areas, but wider, meaning you’ll always find space to unroll your towel. The surrounding trees and rocky outcrops give it a wild and adventurous feel that’s hard to find elsewhere in Sanxenxo.
