“Fantastic place” A wonderful weekend away with friends. Very easy to book, a lovely location right on the river. Great pool and kids facilities. Jo went beyond what was needed to help out. Chrystel and Christina made it all very easy to organise- a real gem- don’t miss out. Would prefer to say- don’t book- so more room for when I want to go back - We’ll be back very soon. Our party ranged from 9months upwards- all very safe

“A wonderful place to stay for a relaxing New Year.” Grosvenor cottage was a wonderful place to stay over for a relaxing New Year. It was delightful to see tasteful Christmas decorations and the cottage was extremely comfortable and cosy at all times. Nicky was such a hospitable host that we were not left wanting for anything.

“True luxury in a perfect setting” On arrival, the personal welcome from host and lovely well behaved dogs is always well worth waiting for, as is hamper of local produce. Accommodation, decor and fittings are of the highest standard, a real "home from home". In an elevated rural location in glorious countryside with many towns and places of interest in easy reach make it an Ideal center for touring or walking, with many excellent inns to refresh en route. Our favourite pastime is touring and staying in cottages of the highest standard in the relevant area. The cottages at Wharton Lodge are of this standard and that is why we return time and time again.

“Cosy retreat with wonderful views” We have just enjoyed another lovely stay in this cosy and comfortable apartment. Carol and Barry have provided everything you could wish for and make the perfect hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. They have even organised availability of the Internet now which has been difficult due to remote location. A special mention must go to the bed which is fantastic. It has a memory foam mattress and is so comfortable we would like one ourselves! The walk-in wardrobe is also a treat. Everything in the layout just works really well. It really does make a brilliant place to stay.
